I had the regular edition gifted to me a while back. I guess I just quit gaming. It's been fun guys. There's no way I can live as a gamer knowing this is out there. So rather then ending my life, I'm just going to delete Steam and throw my GPU into a fire.

I just bought the Deluxe version even though I do not have a working gaming PC to play on right now. I guess I should actually finish replacing the parts tomorrow. :P

I'm pretty sure a number of sites like ve3d.ign.com are going to give away keys for the beta, there is also a planned free weekend shortly after launch, and you could also preorder it and then try out the beta for a bit then cancel.
 
I'd like to read some impressions from people who have no experience with the series as that's my situation. So if you get in the beta please post!

Fond memories of the first RO. Haven't followed much of the pre-release stuff for this, but it looks great.

i5 2500k @ 4.6GHz
2x GTX 570

I can't quite maintain 60fps maxed out. It's really not hard to bump down a setting or two though. The game looks great (with bloom off, of course).

0 servers online though, I guess it's just 1700 people refreshing the server browser. Can't even play the single player campaign.. It just goes back to the difficulty select screen after loading.

Yeah. You could tone down MLAA and take off Ambient Occlusion and get much better framerates. I'm pretty sure the game is quite scalable.
 
Wow. I can't get any games to show up in the server browser for multi, and single player just goes into a crash loop. LOL. Beta indeed. I guess I will keep trying.

Win 7 x64, i5 2500k @ 4.7, 8GB RAM, Radeon HD 6970 CFX (latest drivers).
 
Server browser chugs then crashes, single player won't launch, and when I DO get in, the game crashes.

But all is forgiven as soon as I get into a game.
 
Yeah I was able to get into a multi game (albeit across the pond in the UK) by going to the friends tab and joining one with an open slot. With everything maxed out in 1080p it chugs with my setup. I guess I will have to turn some stuff down. :)
 
Uh, how do you disable antialiasing? This is the first time I've ever seen a game that doesn't list "off" as an option.

Woa chugs on Crossfire 6970s.

My single 6950 doesn't stand a chance.
