Reggie Asks Us: What developer would you like to see have a Nintendo franchise?

NEVER going to happen, but I'd love to see The Behemoth work on the Mario series.

On a somewhat related note, what is taking Nintendo so long to bring an Ouendan / Elite Beat Agents game for Wii? When I saw the trailer for We Cheer (I know, I know), I thought it could work.

Evolution Studios - Wave Race

Seriously though, I need a next-gen Wave Race game. :/

Give Animal Crossing to Suda51 & Grasshopper.

Then Tom Nook can truly become a slum lord mafioso!

Personally they could give SUDA and GHM any franchise and I'm sure I would love it. I'm honestly waiting for NCL to annouce they've bought out GHM at some point in the near future.

In all honesty that would suck.

"Voodoopanda! We're in a tight spot! It's so tight it's ridiculous!

Please deliver this carpet to Samantha!"

(hours later, you find out the whole city was a delusion based on a childhood trauma)

Then you'll have to wait at least three to five years.

I wonder if Nintendo even gives a crap anymore about that franchise. The jetski portion of Wii Resort looks abysmal.

BGE was superior to TWW. Better music, a superior overworld, and some very clever design overall. He also designed his action-adventure game more like Nintendo's action-adventure game.
Remind me, what's the best version of BGE to play? I've been meaning to play it.

The only thing that could make it suck, in my opinion, is the inherent impossibility of making it INSANELY DIFFICULT like the DS version. You'd have to be an acrobat to beat the last stage, hahah :P

... of course, considering that the game is exactly like its DS counterpart. They could do something else with the characters, maybe... I like the franchises.

Supposedly the Gamecube version was the lead SKU, but I played the PS2 game and had no problems with it. I think it might be good on the PC too.

Yeah, I doubt they do. They seem to have pretty much stopped making all (separate) sportsish games though. Even Mario this gen was pretty much Baseball, Soccer, and a GC Tennis game port.

The PC version will get you the best possible graphics and 60fps. The controls are borked though and it was no controller support...so yeah.

I liked Wind Waker better, didn't finish BGE though. :P

Well the worst part of BGE happens in the last 20 minutes or so. You think you're about to beat the game, but they decide to cram in ALL THIS EXPOSITION AND HOLY CRAP WE'RE GONNA SET THIS THING UP FOR A SEQUEL and there's a great (one of my favorite ever) boss battles, and it ends in this freaky cliffhanger.

The game was really good, but the pacing was shit in the last 20 minutes.

I am having a hard time figuring out why the hell anyone would want a Zelda game from team ico.

Fully agree with this.

Well, no shit, but there are reasons people consider it the spiritual successor to SF64.

Wario World always seemed to me like a weird match for them. Totally not in their usual field of work.

People can think of it as a spiritual successor to it all they want. It doesn't make it so. It's still only one game in a similar genre that came out almost 9 years ago. I'm sorry there's just other developers I'd rather give it to. How is Wario World no in their usual field of work. Before they did Wario World, they had 3 or 4 platformers under their belt. Hell after Mischief Makers I bet a lot of people might have thought they were an ideal match for Wario.

Bioware should do a 2nd eternal darkness.

Suda51 in collaboration with Monolith to do Baten Kaitos 3 = Mind blown and exploded in a joyful burst of corn pops and blood, splashing everyone on their face while they laugh and dance in extasis.

Studio Ghibli + Nintendo on Zelda

Koji Pro on Eternal Darkness

Level-5 on Star Tropics

TREASURE on Starfox!!!!!!!!!!!

On a serious side, Insomniac Games on Starfox.
This is the only good suggestion in the bunch and it's awesome. If developers insist on taking Fox out of his Arwing they can at least make the game like Ratchet.

Too bad it'll never happen. :(

It would never happen obviously, but how about Polyphony Digital and Mario Kart? =) They've done pretty good with Motortoon GP before the likes of Gran Turismo.

We can dream, right? =P

The way I see it, Treasure makes badarse 2D games -some may feature polygons, but the gameplay is purely 2D. Hence why their first 3D platformer was not as good.

Mother by Bioware? Nah, they would ruin that. Maybe Square Enix? Nah...

How about Mother by Level 5? Yeah, I like that.
