Remedy was ‘unsatisfied’ with FBC: Firebreak’s launch sales but says it has ‘a solid game to build on’

Snapshots above show it didnt even hit 2,000.

I checked Steamdb now. 10 people are playing. 24 hour peak is 20.

If FBC had a MP mode that has 12 players (like COD 6 vs 6), it wouldnt even fill a lobby.
Yes that's what am saying. Even if it had 2000ccu at THIS POINT it would still be extremely sub par and an incredibly tough battle to regain players.

Never even heard of this game. The art looks terrible. Not sure how they think they're gonna "build" on this.
I dont think anyone heard about it. I think there was one trailer I barely remember. Next thing you know it's on GP and PS+ and only got 1M gamers to try it. Steam and console sales are probably in the 1,000s, not 100,000s or more.

They should have made a mystery ghost hunt type co op game like that popular one, not some generic shooter with garbage shooting. Would've fit the setting much better and could deepen the lore.

Remedy can't make a legitimately great gameplay loop to save their lives, I have no idea why they thought they could make some banger MP game. They can't get away with covering mediocre-at-best mechanics with flashy window dressing in that space and that's literally their entire brand.

Why does this shit keep happening? Are big devs/publishers just that clueless about what their audience wants?

Maybe the genre is not saturated? Maybe we have a chance at Fortnite money/success??

Let's try like all the other ones

No matter how good the gameplay is, when the character art is that bad, nobody wants to play it. You'd be better off with generic clothing or police uniforms. You can just tell the women who designed these characters dress like the driver from the Magic School Bus series.

Control is an interesting ip, I really enjoyed how the FBC is basically the SCP foundation, they should lean even more into that going forward.

This could've been a cool game, they should've had SCP-esque Mobil Task Force units that are designed to combat specific anomalous situations.

Instead they botched it so terribly that nobody played it, even when people could play it for "free" via GP or ps+.

It probably needs to be F2P. I imagine many Remedy fans aren't subscribing to PS+.

But to my surprise I heard a co-worker who plays PS5 online with friends were pretty hyped about it.

For players who loves shooting and co-op online games, it's possible they will enjoy it
