I used to love the old cartoons. Even though the animation was a bit scary at times.

"Halt, I am Reptar....Halt I am Reptar." "Thor hungry, Thor want eat." -when they battled in the toy store.

Early RugRats was great...that and Doug...good times. I didn't even know there was an "All Grown Up" until very recently.

Every episode basically revolved around the kids' misconception of something they heard the adults talking about, and then their efforts to explore or avoid whatever they overheard.

This formula got stale after about 2 episodes. Since I don't remember the first 2 episodes, I can't say that I remember when it wasn't shitty.

My favorite Rugrats seasons(s) were the ones when Grandpa's face started turning pinkish-purple during the intro. :lol

Everytime I saw that, I KNEW one of my favorite episodes would be coming on.

For example: the one where Chucky is Angelica's slave, the one where Chucky gets a haircut, the one where Angelica forms a secret club, etc.

THOSE episodes (the animation had a distinct look to them).

I liked it when I was young. I noticed a signficant decline after the 10th year reunion special and the movie.

You know, Rugrats premiered half an hour before (or maybe after) Ren & Stimpy premiered. Put together like that it was easy for me to see the difference in quality.
