Are there any options for getting a Playstation 3 repaired? I had it reballed last year, but it seems to be giving me a different issue: I press the power button, it beeps three times, and the indicator light flashes red. I took into the local cell phone repair service that also repairs consoles, and they did a reflow, but that didn't do the trick. I had a spare power supply that I put in, but that also didn't fix the issue.
I would like to get it repaired then sell it off (it is a 60 gig backwards-compatible model,) but I would like to get my saves off of the thing. Sony evidently can't, or won't do it. Their solution is for me to re-up my lapsed PS+ to retrieve my PS3 saves, but that does nothing for my PSX, and PS2 saves.
If I can't get the thing repaired, are there any ways that I can pull the saves off of the harddrive itself? I believe that Sony put encryption on there, but I hope that has been broken by now...hopefully.
