When will it finally be enough? I have to ask, when? And when will consumers finally say enough is enough? There has to be and end game to this.

When will it finally be a bridge too fucking far?

Why stop there? Just start charging people for bullets in CoD. Depending on the type of gun, you'll have standard and premium bullets, and of course different prices for them.

I honestly dont care. But please do: please prove that current gen CoD players are just stupid and will buy everything just before the IP fall and another (maybe Battlefield? Let see if EA dont ruin things again... unlikely)

I recently moved back to Modern Warfare 3 on the Xbox 360 and it is so great to see no live service season crap and ridiculous overprices skins that dont fit. So if anyone wants some real CoD Team deatchmatch, just play the OG ones, so far I (besides MW2, it is a hacker nightmare) havent had many issues with the games and can find games regularly.

It's the thing virtue signaling retards started using to view Twitter when they didn't want to be seen using Twitter.

Twitter has ads?!?!?!?

Sometimes I'm amazed how comfy and sweet my local net is, since I have hardware ad/telemetry/etc-blocker and I haven't seen ads for the longest time in any of my household devices. Every year the odd ONE goes through but usually it's picked up pretty fast and down into the sewer it goes. 😗🤌🏻

Call of duty? Oh, you mean Fortnite?

In all seriousness- game is having an identity crisis and now continues to paywall more and more for the whales. Just make it free to play already.

The game has become ridiculous in size and how it's turned into Fortnite.

But because people are paying for this shit it keeps getting worse.

It grew in popularity when Elon did his Nazi salute thing and people wanted to deprive x.com of traffic and ad revenue to punish him. Funneling through xcancel became more of a thing when subreddits banned links to x.

GOOD!

And why do they say Activision is making this change? Surely......everyone knows by now that Microsoft owns ABK and is in charge of these decisions right?!

Is it taking away anything currently available to everyone? If it's just optional and extra, I don't see the big deal.

Just don't buy it if you don't like it. I won't.

Call of Duty Will be Paywalling Limited Time Modes Behind Its Battle Pass, it's Claimed
This is how you create Fortnite players.

Ah, yes, paywalled player base fragmentation. Exactly the thing you need in $80 release that leans heavily on MP.

Microsoft is really The Midas in reverse.

A nothing website with nothing news or source but everyone believes it as gospel when it's on the bad news train lol.

CoDs metrics are having as many players as possible together, not fragmenting that.

They can do what they like. The cod audience are like zombies. One of my relatives is one of them. Dude only plays cod and has done for like 15 years straight! Play something else motherfucker!

Wow and the only people to blame are those that keep spending money on no value goods in a storefront. They have railed you so dry that they know you'll pay anything and still be on your knees.

Welcome to the future you folks made, yourselves. I cannot stop smiling at this, as it was self inflicted. Soon you'll be paying 10 a reload per match.

i dont believe this "report", but i just play ranked so they can paywall the shit out of everything else especially their stupid ass events/modes they add
Would u believe company that owns activision now decided to make their consoles/accesories/games more expensive 4,5years after launch of the gen? Those rich mofos live in a bubble, not reality so they are prone to making stupid decisions =D

Ah, some verified gaming news from my favourite gaming news website Xcancel dot com.

The website that we all know and love, Xcancel dot com.

Cool
So they are killing COD and just wasted tens of billions.
MS doesn't seem to realize gaming IPs can easily die off.

Not surprising... Diablo 4 this season had major battle pass changes to boost revenue, they also increasing the seasons, from 4 per year to 6 per year to increase battle pass purchases.

I fucking hate Microsoft... they're nothing but low class vultures.

I see most people complaining in this thread dont actually play Call of Duty?

They are making the battlepass more valuable with these "uber premium LTMs" and in theory you no longer need to buy the premium event track separately as they will be in the battlepass.

Basically by putting the LTMs in the battlepass they can get more people to purchase the battlepass, right now people can ignore the battlepass then only buy the premium event track whenever one comes around, by having more LTMs and putting them in the battlepass people are more likely to purchase the battlepass and feel like its worthwhile.

The real downside is it likely means alot more shitty crossover skins and shit.

AI has a strange understanding of what milking a cow looks like, but it's almost more fitting this way.

Got to turn those players into payers, no matter the cost. Fuck innovation, fuck passion, fuck integrity, fuck creativity.

They've been slowly trying to condition gamers to associate paying with instant in-game rewards to fire off those dopamine hits. And seeing how popular the Ultimate Teams and the Fortnites of the world are I guess it's what the majority of us want.

OK I'm properly done with the franchise at this point. I typically only play until I've prestiged and the first season launches then I trade the game in. Not even going to bother in future.

Oh, okay. Then it's some other South American country that I must be misremembering then.

Musk went to war with some head of state and it's supreme court ruling of banning twitter from their country last year.

It was Brazil that (briefly) banned it. Musk lost that 'war', by the way.

If true it's probably to recoup money lost because the game is on GP.

We'll see if offsetting the cost to people buying the game outright will play well. Not sure how crucial these modes are to the game.

Don't worry, they will just add more cringy weed garbage into the game and then people will stil play Fortnite Call of Duty.
