I can't even think of what my reaction would be. Probably a blank stare of confusion.

Old, posted in the PSP thread.....and some of those are not real.

Ooops I tore off the analog nub...I mean OMG it fell off! pffft.

圧勝

No, I don't think so. DS/Nintendo --> 惨敗

It would seem to me that Sony is copying Nintendo AGAIN. I mean, most of these flaws were so common with recent Nintendo handhelds! Will they ever think of anything original?

There, helped you out in the first post.

1) Only need one set of img tags.
2) No need for the carriage return between the link and the [/img] tag.
3) Need the H in http to make it a working link.

the dead pixels look pretty innocuous from those pics. a couple of those wouldn't worry me unduly.

yah the dead pixel in that picture is hard to notice.
Buttons getting stuck is pretty common aswell. One of my xbox pads has that problem and I remember one my snes and megadrive pads had similiar problems. dust under the protective screen is kinda annoying and the analog pad falling down? no comments on that one.

one dead pixel in DS = oh noes, one dead pixel in PSP = oh well.

ah-kay then.

We all know Sony makes defective units while Nintendo is known for its durable hardware :P

That's what happens when you assembly consoles in China :). People gtting shitty wages will always work worse than those that receive decent pays.

lol ..... stuck buttons ?? no problem
dead pixel ... woot ... my PSP game looks better with dead pixel :)
dust in the screen ?? ... WOOOOooooo ..... even better my PSP features exclusive special dusty effect !!! Your DS will never get something like that.

Wow, I've seen these same pictures posted on about 5 differnt boards today. I'll wait to see if there are more reports of defects. Looking at the open parts of the ds and psp on lik-sang you can easily see there is alot more that can go worng with sony machine. But, the good thing is Sony's got 3 months to streamline production before it hits the U.S. so hopefully they work out all the kinks.

THESE THINGS ARE UNACCEPTABLE!

I say we start a petition to get Sony to have a massive recall of all Sony PSPs! That'll teach em'! Who's with me?

Uh... excuse me. Why are you bashing Sony in all those PSP topics :?
And stop saying that all your posts are jokes.

Ontopic:

Does photo's are taken by Nintendo Japan employees! ;)
Well, I wait till they release the PSP overseas.

When did I start saying all my posts are jokes? Please show your source.

Also, I mean...come on! A brand new technologically advanced product having sporatic defects when released on a semi-large scale? It's just UNHEARD of! UNACCEPTABLE! If we start a petition and Sony sees the virginal gaming masses stampeding toward the doors of quality progress they might order a recall and we'll get perfect systems!

ARE YOU WITH ME!?

Why do I get a feeling some of these are fakes? I mean I can understand some dead pixels and maybe even some lens related problems, but the rest? It's not like Sony hasn't been making MD players and Clies for a long time.

I'm dubbing you my gaming general at arms. I'd give you a badge but my order didn't go through yet at the local Kinko's. But until that happens, your job is to gather as many people to the cause as possible. There's a secret level you can unlock too if you gather the "bonus" gamer toward the end of the board.

No offense, but to use Sony's experience in making MD Players and Clies would not be the best reason to doubt these authenticity of these pictures. The PSP screen alone is pretty high tech for a portable gaming device. I would imagine the manufacturing process would be very different than those used on Clies. Also, Clies have never launched at the price point that PSP is launching at. And besides, its the launch batch of a new system. There's bound to be some kinks. I would be far more worried if these same problems occured at the US launch in March

If this world wasn't all about "making the most out of the less money possible", we would have consoles and handheld that can last AT THE VERY LEAST the lap of their own generation of machines. But capitalism tells you: "You have one chances out of 3 to get a functionnal product that is really worth you money. We are pleased by there's 2 out of 3 chances you buy another one and it gives us more money".
