Welcome to a place for people who are not going to get a Switch 2 in the near future and will instead be satisfying their Nintendo cravings with the Switch One. Reasons may be wanting to hold off buying the successor until it gets an updated model or a bigger library, being unable to afford one at the time or simply having no interest in getting one. I'm in the first group as I've learned from NDS and NSOne that good things come to those who wait.
I've been lending my Switch to a family member, but all the recent Switch 2 propaganda has made me realize that I've missed a lot of good games so I'll be getting it back. My list of games that I'll try to finish until I get the brand-spanking new handheld, in two or three years, are as follows:
1. Zelda TotK - I've always looked at this game as some kind of DLC which was a reason I never got it, but the reviews seem to talk about a full game in its own right.
2. RDR1 - I loved RDR2 and I've heard so many good things about the first game and how it does cool things the second game doesn't. Also, the NSOne version is supposed to be really good.
3. Luigi's Mansion 3 - My only experience comes from a Digital Foundry video which talks about its great graphics. Might be a terrific autumn game.
4. Mario Wonder - Supposedly Nintendo tried to throw in a lot of cool stuff into it and I think it's neat that they bothered to release a new 2D Mario this late in NSOne's lifetime.
5. Thousand-year door - I've heard and read about it since the Gamecube era and my mental picture is of one of the best Nintendo RPGs out there.
6. Echoes of Wisdom - Honestly, it did look a bit too cutesy at first, but it apparently does some fun things with its concept and so I need to put it on my bucket list.
7. Mario RPG - The game which started the whole NRPG thingy deserves to get a visit from me. While I dig the graphical style of the original, I think this remake will make it easier to get through.
8. The Messenger – An old school style game which I can't miss as Animal Well reignited the love for retroish games in me.
9. Mario & Lugi: Brothership - Might not exactly be the best game on this list, but as I loved Superstar Saga I can't leave it off my NSOne Swan Song-list.
10. Metroid Prime 4 - Yes, yes, I know, the NS2 version looks bonkers good. But I don't care, my first playthrough will be the Switch One where it deserves to be played after all this time.

So that's what will be filling my Nintendo time. How about the dozen others of you on Gaf who are going to keep enjoying the heck out of your vintage handheld in this era of dramatic Nintendo next-gen frenzy?
I thought this thred could be a nice place to keep the Switch One alive and to share our future memorable moments with it.
