I actually also stopped watching GameXplain this year because in one of their Grandia HD videos, the guy who played the game didn't know even the basics, neither about who the developers were nor about what kind of RPG and game it is (shit that could've been answered by just skimming through the Wikipedia article of the game...), no preperation whatsoever. And his commentary was basically just verbalizing what he was seeing, completely unnecessary (it's a video! people can fucking see!) and it pulled you out of the game every time he spoke.

Its funny because was a weird problem here in Brazil. You see, a paid cable channel called 'Play TV' (very old, I don't even know if still exist), was target as a brazilian video game enthusiasm channel. I used to watch this channel until they trade the guy from the program called 'Combo, speak but play(videogames)'. The main guy from this program was a afro guy with IMO play video games surprisingly well at the point I even feel envy. After his guest, a singer called 'Ivete Sangalo', make a joke of him saying 'hey its not fair, you play video games almost every second' as a answer for him 'hey you must speak and play too'. Until this day, they fired that guy and hired one girl. The problem? This woman was fucking awful playing video game with make the program lost so much hearing that it was canceled.
I remember one of the episodes she made. Her guest was a singer (all guests from this program are famouns singers from Brazil) and the porpuse of the program is to speak about everything WHILE you still play video game.
The game she put was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Wii. She don't even know what button she need to press to open the menu and choise the char before the fight start (I guess is was a game similar to Smash Bros Meele). The conclusion: The screen behind the two with usally show the game they're playing was just showing the bot fighting each other, with is a demo if you don't normally press any button (press the start button). I guess even the two wii remote are not connected to the Wii console. So the two are just talking and pressing the wii remote button faking their gameplay.
Was depressing. After that day I canceled the channel from my package. Just follow the channel on the twitter until this particular program was cancelled.

We both used to watch a lot of this channel. It felt like the people from there really played games, which make us happy because in this particular show they use to talk about hobbies and interesting topics while playing.

But that episode was very very embarassing. Not only that, there were also a program where most of the commentors from the channel were asked indivisually where their love for play come and if they still play games. About 2 of them(including the one my brother cited) stated that still play games because they love and even own consoles. The rest said on TV that don't play games at all and dont have a single console on their homes. Worse than that, one of the girls even said that does not play games because its something she doesn't likes much. I was "whata fuck are you even doing there???"

Thinking about that nowadays, thats basically representation of gaming jornalism nowadays. They don't like playing games, they're just there for the money.

Never got myself to watch PlayTv. Actually I just watched it once. It was a girl playing a videogame with a guest. So lackluster. It shouldn't be those golden days of that channel anymore and that's a shame. I don't know if that channel is still going or if there's another one which is better than this Play Tv.

I’m not a Crowder junkie by any means, but I do sometimes enjoy the Change My Mind series.

A lot of that content tends to be destroying all the accumulated lies and improperly retracted wrong stories built up in people, and it’s just crazy to see what people walk around believing (the more sane ones are surprised as well).

It goes as far back as the day Trump announced he was running, with the Mexicans quote sliced up, out of context, and misrepresented. People still believe, that he believes all Mexicans are racists, murderers, etc.
