When you police your users so much you end up losing the point:

It's already bad enough when resetera users say you are going too far on moderations and start calling out on your bullshit...

They don't have any actual rules. Bans are purely based on not having the correct politics and/or positioning in the oppression hierarchy, with a helpful dose of personal vendetta from the mods, who are all coincidentally mentally ill themselves. And not in the "we need to help these poor people" sort of way, but the "why the fuck did we ever shut down the asylums" kind of way.

I've never visited resetera, nor do I care about them, but this post is hilarious; did people forget these are the exact same people that left GAF and were always power-hungry ego trippers?

I was lurking and posting there a bit during the who Jussie Smollett media circus. During those first couple of days, there were a few people who posted that the story seemed fishy - that it didn't make a lot of sense. They didn't directly call him a liar or anything. They just started picking apart the story and said it sounded like there was more information that hadn't come out yet.

Mod came in and perm banned a bunch of those people for insinuating he was making it up, how dare you, you must be racists, etc. etc. Some people were like "Whoa dude, WTF?". Others backed up the mods with the same "they must be racists" excuse.

Then the truth came out.

The thread got bumped and I was one of the first posters in there. I asked "So are the mods going to unban those people who were figuring this out?"

I then got banned.
