Goddamn. OLED TVs are no joke.

OLED seems to even become old news with Sony launching a new tech next year.

May switch when they launch. Until then my A1 is still doing a great job!

This reminds me of what DIY Perks did with a projector and an old crappy LCD screen. It still isn't as good as OLED though:

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
You went from a shitty TLC TV to a High-end TV and you're surprised?
Any high end TV regardless of panal will be a massive upgrade, a High End or Flagship from 5 years ago would get the same response.
On that note, you should of got the G4.

I have the S90C. I'm assuming the S90D still comes with the little "smart" remote. I didn't like that remote either, but i had an older 1080p Samsung with a full size remote and it works with the S90C. So just in case you didn't know, i definitely think it's worth picking up an old remote for a few bucks.
Thanks! I'll do that.

My C9 is still great - no burn in and no dead pixels 5-6 years on.

I'll probably upgrade it in about 1-2 years to whatever LG is cooking.

Will be joining the club between 2 and 5pm today as that's when the delivery is scheduled to arrive.

65 inch LG. Not sure the model, but it got great reviews.

Never seen one of these in person before

Find some OLED content on youtube, you're going to be floored, especially if you have never seen it in person.

Hey gaf, I wanted to ask if 42 inch LGC4 is worth it for gaming and anime? Or is it only good for movies? Because I read that OLED sucks for 2D content and has a risk of burn-in if you play the same game too long.

I'm looking for a smaller size TV because I switch my living places. The other reason is completely furniture related. Also, will the smaller size ruin anything?

Last five years I've had a shitty 65" TCL LED TV in the living room. Got it to fill space but didn't think it would suck as much as it did, but the price tag was my first hint. Streaky backlight, terrible contrast, pathetic blacks, horrendous response time, etc.

Impulsively replaced our two TVs with LGs C4 OLEDs. Ho-ly-shit. My eyes have been blessed by God.

What an upgrade. I knew it would be big, but wow. The blacks are ridiculous. The contrast? Infinite (obviously). The colors are so natural and vibrant without looking alien. The detail?! Absurd. Response time is of course near instant.

I also just got new glasses after a decade with my last pair which were scratched and outdated prescription. So my eyes are getting pampered lately.

I'm not abandoning PC gaming by any means, but this (in conjunction with a PS5 pro) was my attempt at getting away from my desk.

What should I watch to really test these bad boys out!?
Mad Max Fury Road is the crown.

Burn-in is not an issue for normal users.
42 and 48 inch models are less bright than the bigger ones. I have a 48 C3 that I use as a monitor from one metre away and it's great.

These smaller models come with a stand. I use something like this to move it from the desk to the bed:

What nobody tells you is that installing the TV is *extremely* difficult, especially if you're alone. Make sure it's a two people operation, watch some YouTube unboxings and get your furniture ready. It's an absolute bitch to handle - there's nowhere to actually grab the fucking thing and the screen is super fragile.
