Resident Evil 3 remake Jill's VA reportedly "winked" after being asked about being in RE1 REMAKE

I feel like it doesn't need a remake personally. Should've used the resources on this remake to make a dino crisis remake like people have been asking for or they should've started making a new mega man game and breath of fire game.

At lauch on the GameCube. I had a Sega Saturn and just could not live with the originals visuals and never really got into the game. My mate lovedthe original though. Each to their own I guess.

if they are gonna remake 1 again then i want a more extended story mode ,
i want to play as all of the following with their own separate campaigns

I haven't played through Resident Evil 1 OG or the remake so I'm keen for another remake in the same template as the RE2 Remake.

Dont look at the title, look at the contend of the vid, for all we care it could be named "grandma's panties" as long as it shows us what Remake could look like potentially/maxed out.

Except that's not even remotely what the video is presenting, so why are you presenting it as if it were?
 
The CGI backgrounds of the remake are still gorgeous to this day... I'm not really a huge fan of RE but do we really need all the old games to be remade as TPS?
 
I assume she'll go back to RE9 instead, which I assume is pretty likely the next RE game they'd release.

I also think the next remake should be RE Code Veronica, RE Outbreak or RE5, not RE1.

I hate the tank controls of the 2002 remake and haven't replayed it because of that. This could help remedy that if it's in TP.

I was actually replaying RE1 more than its remake the last time I tried to replay them. The original had that cheesy voice acting that I actually really like.
 
I heard Barry's voice actor farted when asked the same question. He allegedly had tofu for lunch.
 
Even though the rumor said 2026 for RE1R Remake, I still hope we'll get a RE game this year hopefully RE9 cause we got no RE game in 2024.
 
I know people really enjoy RE2, but the story and setting of RE1 is the best in the franchise. I despise the gameplay itself, like all survival/horror games, but if they can make it play like RE2R, I am in.
 
They should use AI to make a decent REmake remastered.

The last 'remaster' was a shitshow. Their never threat the background with proper respect. Just upscale and said 'homework is done'.

I doubt Capcom will do right by this, I'm sorry. While I definitely enjoyed the RE2 remake, RE3's fell flat on its face.

Um, of course this has nothing to do with Jill's VA. It was just... everything else.

And their first attempt to remake Resident Evil was an abomination. They turned the mansion into a laughably over-the-top haunted house. They just couldn't help themselves. No moderation. No restraint. People like to talk about how RE1 was cheesy, but c'mon - at least that game managed to feel genuinely horrifying. RE1 remake was just pure shlock. All the time, start to finish. Nothing allowed me to suspend my disbelief at any point. My "favorite" was the chained-up casket in the theme-park dungeon room.

Am I curious? Of course I am. I love the originals. Am I optimistic? No. Because Capcom stopped being "serious" a long time ago, and the virus that created RE4 and every stupid "Resident Evil" game thereafter still lives in their blood.

Now this is an uncommon opinion. People tend to have a preference, but to outright hate REmake? Don't see that every day.
