Like what I see,but I'd buy this personally for PSVR,which I think it looks perfect for
This is horrible. Looks and feels nothing like Resident evil franchise. It's just "spooky game N#6783" without the charm Resident Evil had.
Really? They're making this a hide and seek game? C'mon. I mean I'll give them a pass on the first person view, but weapons are a really big deal in RE.
Is it scarier? Yeah, probably, but at what cost?
In your opinion. Doesn't make their marketing team incompetent. It means they're doing something you don't like. Shit happens.
Well if RE7's marketing isn't representative of the final product, then I'd question it because it's actually alienating RE fans, as we're seeing.
Maybe that first image will get people to shut up about it being Amnesia, which it isn't and Capcom has said multiple times that it's not like Amnesia.
Gee-zus, I find funny how all the people are "OMG THERE IS NO COMBAT, THIS IS NOT RESIDENT EVIL" when I bet my ass that if the trailers were showing combat you all be like "OMG WHAT IS THIS ACTION CRAP, THIS IS NOT RESIDENT EVIL"
But these look fantastic.![]()

No people read them and then they show this.Let's hope the TGS trailer will prove it. Lot of people don't care enough to read the interviews or anything and will snowball the Amnesia/Outlast comparisons until it launches.
I'm glad you played the full game already. No people read them and then they show this.
The Demo wasn't repersentive of the game yet this looks the same.
Giving you a gun isn't gonna make anything different, the style of game is "jump scare FP"
and regardless of what they say in interviews it's pretty obvious what type of game this is.

Are we gonna keep saying that after the game releases?I'm glad you played the full game already.
Are we gonna keep saying that after the game releases?
Nothing is gonna change.
It is what is it is.
How? From 3 freakin minutes trailer?
Are we gonna keep saying that after the game releases?
Nothing is gonna change.
It is what is it is.

I was hoping this trailer would allay my indifference to RE7, but instead it only compounded it.
It's kinda depressing to see such an incredibly influential series conservatively chasing trends rather than setting them.

Well, of course fans of the last RE iterations are disappointed. If you liked 5&6 this is a really big change in pace and general gameplay. But I like that they don't carry the series to the grave and try to reinvent the series with each 2-3 iterations. Keeps things fresh.
If you put it that way 5 and 6 are also no Resident Evil games. Heck even 4 is no RE game after you played the first 3 games. Saying this is no Resident Evil is pretty hilarious when you look how the series evolved.

Nothing is gonna change.
