Resident Evil 9 possible leak

I guess I'm tired of 1st person Resident Evil already

8 barelly evolved gameplay from 7, so if 9 will be just another reskin in another setting, I think I'm good

Enjoyed 7 a hell lot more than 8 due to its atmosphere, new character and small scope. 8 went balls to the wall RE 4 style and felt way less scarier.

Hopefuly we will get another refresh with new character, small scope and focus on horror

Ah yes, more "4chan leaks", does it sound neat? Sure! But, uh, I'll never believe these without any sufficient evidence of any form.

What's wrong with FPP? FPP if done right is GOAT.
Sure, many goty i had were first person, but for some reason, i hate first person RE and i kinda hated the last 2 (well and 6)

They have some good scary moments potentials, but i miss old third person RE.

I tend to agree that Capcom does not know how to do FPP justice.

i wonder why nobody at capcom has thought of a resident evil taking place in the ruins of raccoon city.
or has raccoon been rebuilt after the nuke?

RE has not and never will be a first person adventure/shooter thingie.

Good thing that isn't what they are going for....

The perspective in RE7 and 8 doesn't take away from the return of those core concepts of puzzles, back tracking, limited ammo, health, finding weapons etc. I could give 2 shits if you see their back or its in first person, so long as it has those RE concepts, I simply don't care. RE was not some deep twitch shooter where its gameplay was reliant seeing someone's back in order for the concept to work.

Prior to RE4, the majority of RE titles had movement and gameplay almost as a afterthought to the core concept. The main idea of RE was simply those puzzles, back tracking, lore etc and gameplay seem to take a backseat to a lot of that game's ideas to pretend seeing someone's back was this required thing. The fact that the best selling Resident Evil will be in First Person goes to show just how little most of the fans really actually care about that.

As a fan of the IP myself....I don't care lol I care if its core concept is intact, what perspective thats in has no relevance to my purchase. After the shit show that was RE5-6 etc, I just wanted those core concepts back and funny enough, seeing someone's fucking back in RE5- and 6 didn't make them anymore RE titles then the last ones simply cause the perspective was the same lol Enough was removed that it was closer to Gears Of War or something then a traditional RE concept and I always felt those should have been subtitles. So, if RE9 shows a back....kool. If RE9 is in first person.......kool lol I only care if I can back track, do puzzles, read some random ass files for lore, limited ammo and health and find weapons and I'm good. Perspective in RE imho has been the least of my worries after the last gen of what was happening with those titles lol

Just give me a Resident Evil without any connection to Umbrella and I will be more than happy with new monsters not having any link to other events in the series.

Doesn't RE8 gold edition have a 3rd person camera option? I wonder if they're include that as a standard option for future RE going forward.

I personally through FPP worked real nicely for RE7/8 and especially in VR.

For all we know they are testing the waters to see how many really care about it being optional.

The only thing I wanted to know and it's not there: is it third person? I don't want another damn FPS.

It sounds interesting, but all of this won't really mean any if they give you enough weapons and ammo within the first few hours again to not be afraid of anything.

Gameplay wise it sounds more ambitious than RE7 and 8 but again, these games had poor combat system with low enemy diversity so I won't expect too much, I don't want to be disappointed for a third time. Capcom forgot how to make fun RE games.

NO MORE chased by baddy through exploration zones padding please, we've all had enough of that bullshit from RE 8, we don't need more of it, come up with REAL GAME DESIGN instead of resting on a lazy fucking gimmick.
