This game plays like straight butter on the Xbox One and it controls so much better than the first Revelations. It also looks better than I was expecting for a $25 game. Enjoying it right off the bat.

How do you feel about aiming and shooting with the blocker buttons? Its been kind of a turn off for me.

Yeah, I never liked Raid Mode much in the first Revelations, but this one is so good.

I think it's kind of off putting to be honest. Sure, the series has always had bad writing, but there's a difference between corny dialogue and immature dialogue. Resident Evil, despite being very violent and gory, never used to have characters that ran around frequently spewing curse words. Cursing doesn't bother me whatsoever as I'm very guilty of it, but I think that a series should maintain its tone and form. You'd hear words like hell or damn, stuff like that, but Moira is just an absolute clown.

I enjoyed Revelations 1 and this one so far, but they really have produced the most obnoxious and immature protagonists the series has seen yet.

Aha! Solved my Raid mode issues. Playing offline via pulling the Ethernet cable out the back of my PC did the trick.

Just finished up Barry's chapter and damn next week is going to be both an enjoyable and stressful wait. Also the preview of next weeks instalment had some interesting new additions by the looks of things.

I think the physical version will come with some extra costumes and such, but for $25 now you will get all the episodes of the main game @ 1 a week (4 in total), plus the raid mode.

Only played the RE6 Edionia level (as in the first one) but I'll have a look at those in a sec. But what you've said has been pretty much the same experience as some others on Steam's Community Hub.

Costumes are $2.99 each character, or $10 for the whole 4 pack. Its not included.

The $6 version is just Episode one by itself.

The $25 version is the entire season all 4 episodes. Not sure if the one on xbox also includes the 2 bonus episodes, and Hunk Raid mode character.

So during Barry's episode, I got to the double decker prison cells and I pressed the button to open all the doors, but before going through the door at the end with the hole in it for the girl to crawl through, I decided to check the downstairs door that leads to the radio tower.

Big mistake of course since it locks behind you and I couldn't get back in. Does anyone know what I missed back in the prison?


Edit: Also, what the hell are those bugs and how do you find them? I haven't seen one...

My verdict: Great value for money already. Episode 1 was really fun and so is Raid. If your into RE and on the fence, just go for it.

If this is your first RE game, not sure if this the game to start with.

Id suggest giving Resident Evil Remake Remasterd HD a shot, however It plays very differently than Revelations 2.

TOSE works on sooo much stuff, I don't really think it's a good or a bad thing. They've done good and bad work.

I know but in this series in particular, they're rather ominous haha. They also have a habit of reusing assets in everything they've worked on, which is why CODE:Veronica and Gun Survivor both reuse a lot of BIO2 assets.

They also seem to be behind the models in REV1 and REV2, so you can probably blame the "ugliness" of the characters on them.

• Having to wait for the game to load something everytime you enter a menu
• If playing in 4K, the game stutters like crazy with FPS drops to the 10-15 range.

But I can tell y'all that the textures are actually not as bad as I feared. RE6 looks worse than this game.

It's a slight annoyance but did anyone else notice for a lot of the rooms you enter, the screen goes black for a short second or two and then proceeds. Why do you think they didn't just do the door opening transition seemlessly? Some areas even feature that but others don't.

It's remarkable just how much of Resident Evil 6 there is in raid mode. In fact, it's pretty scummy of Capcom to sell a "throwback pack" of RE6/Rev1 levels when that's what 95% of raid mode is anyways.

I knocked out Claire's in 45 mins and Barry's in just under 50 but there is a bit of scope for replayability with different difficulties and achievement like challenges to earn BP which allows you to purchase single player Skills. I'm probably going to wizz through them both again before the next episode drops.
