Confession: I've never even seen a 32x in person, let alone played one.

This is funnier than it should be.
I remember having one as a kid because my parents got a Genesis late in it's life and I think when they bought one it came with the Sega CD and 32X. Don't really remember playing any games design for it through, unlike the Sega CD where I remember having Eternal Champion and Spider-Man. Shame we long sold those systems so I have to track down a Sega CD again that working.
Speaking of tracking down Sega systems, what the best place to get a Sega Saturn that is working and at least has a controller? I been looking on ebay for a while, but can't find one that a good enough price. That or I finally see a good one and it has a tiny text saying "treats games as cds".

I love sour cream : / Did you have a Sega CD or did you jump straight to the 32x after having a Genesis? I never knew anyone who had a 32x.I had 32X with Chaotix, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing, and Star Wars Arcade, and thought it was pretty cool. I remember the day we got it, my Mom got me Taco Bell as a treat, too, but the bitch behind the counter put sour cream on my soft tacos, so I can't think about 32X without phantom tasting sour cream ruined tacos. I was 7 and I think it was possibly the first example of food being ruined and coincidentally that it was the same day I got the 32X. That thing had some bad juju working to ensure it failed hard.

I somehow have 12 32x games now, highlight being chaotix which I haven't really played yet. Only games that I have completed are Night Trap and Slam City featuring Scottie Pippen.
I know retrogaf has its fair share of florida boys. Y'all stay safe.
Think there are a few other south florida folks, too. I'm in west central florida and barring something bizarre it shouldn't be too crazy, but I'd be scared shitless if i was any further south.Much love to Irish
posted these in their respective threads but want to post overall shot of my grabs today =)

Ah bummer. Our delivery area is Japan only.
Sweet!
Ah bummer.
Question: can I use an USA Sega Genesis Console with a Japanese Mega CD unit (or vice versa)
You can trick the Mega CD to be whatever region by using an Everdrive with whatever BIOS that you are trying to load games for. I don't know specifically about plugging a Japanese Mega CD in a US Genesis but you can play Japanese Mega CD titles on a US Genesis/CD by using the Japanese BIOS.
Not retro but definitely in the spirit of it, I'm glad Locomalito is getting paid for his hard work now! After Maldita Castilla, Hydorah is dropping on Steam in an extended edition. Check out his website for more of his games (which are all freeware).

At my parents, found this guy in my old bedroom.
The screen and speakers are busted, though. Anybody have any recommendations for peeps that could help me out with repairs??
Nice collection! Looks like the capacitors have gone on it, I had a GG in similar condition and changing the caps bought the sound and picture back. Do you have a soldering iron? If you do you could probably fix it yourself, it's not too difficult just takes awhile. I think a few places sell complete cap kits so you don't have to source them yourself.
Hey great, thanks for this.I asked this on the Sega CD thread, and apparently you can do this, but each device with work natively with its own specific region unless that is augmented somehow (Everdrive, etc.)

I ended up buying a new used Dreamcast to replace the one I got for free that won't read discs and want to finally try it out, but what the best method. I heard VGA is really good, is that the best method if I plan on playing it on a PVM and OSSC (also got a component CRT)? I do have a old style computer monitor as well. Also the best place to get the cables, as the place mentioned Retro RGB is sold out right now.
