The 30-50 hours of playtime surprised me.

My guess is high 80s and low 90s scores with one outlier Stevinator (or whatever) with a score in the 60s

Yeah, 30-50 hours of what exactly is the real question. There's very limited permanent growth from what I read, so it's a lot of repetition with story on top for 50 hours? I guess we'll see. I'm surprised it's reviewing this well so far. Must be pretty good.

Yep got to finish Disco Elysium by next week before starting this. Sony is putting out hits after hits the first 7 months in. I really wonder which game will be the first dud and when.

Where have you been? Posters on GAF said Demon's Souls Remake is just a PS3 game and Miles Morales is just DLC. Two duds apparently. If they are duds this gen, long may this gen reign.

Well usually the completion time is related to unlocking all the weapons\skills etc. Or the story bits, or both (and completing the game a fixed number of times to see the real finale etc.)
I have like 120 hours in hades...

negative. this is where Sony wants us to be. i'll wait a month or two and get it half the price. other AAA games i get on PC and usually 20% off at release and then the rest i would play will be on gamepass. so no, i will not support $70 games.

Good for you, I have no problem with people not wanting to pay higher prices, just against using it as a dig for some reason.
I personally don't want to see $70 games, but the market will decide if this works. If everyone does buy it at $70 then it will be here to stay.

The market, despite people like who you quoted, couldn't stop DLC and microtransactions. Remember the horse armor stink? Seems like forever ago, now everyone is ok with stuff like that. There are bigger things we should be against like GAAS games that are designed simply to make you pay MORE than $70 over time.

maybe you missed some of the context. i was replying to someone who was insinuating that i had no choice other than paying $70 for them. i can just wait for a sale and not pay that price. i don't have issues with people who love and support games and developers. I'm just saying "negative" i don't have to pay for it at $70 and will be fine waiting even though the game looks fantastic. was not meant as a dig at all. I have a switch/ps5/xsx/pc3080. i love games and want the gaming industry as a whole to do great. because i want more games lol
to your point though. yes, the market will decide if $70 stays or not. i personally hope it doesnt hurt returnal's sales so much and Sony takes that as a reflection on the quality of the game or developers though. would be a shame.
