Goonies II is an amazing game.

Aside from the chip tuned "Good Enough" by Lauper, that game is pretty fuckin far from amazing

I'm reminded of this:

It was in my video store when I was very young, and I fell into the (clearly intended) trap of thinking it was a sequel to The Goonies. It's actually an Australian film called "Frog Dreaming" - or in the US it was "The Quest" - rebranded to try to ride on the Goonies' coattails.

Geez, I love The Quest and wow...NOTHING like the scenes depicted on this box happen in the movie lol.

That's cause old school 8 and 16 bit gaming is purely your bag and you refuse to move beyond that =P It's all good homeskillet.

I like the game for its obscurity and similarities to Dr Chaos.

Hey, there are some newer games that I like as well.

And, I hadn't come across Dr. Chaos before, I'll have to check that out.

Un-fun fact: The Goonies II for NES wasn't pretending to be a sequel to the movie. It was just a sequel to a Famicom game which wasn't available in NA (except for in a couple arcades).
