How absolutely shocking and terrible. I feel awful for his family, having your loved one be a public figure has to make this sort of situation so much worse.

I always felt a hint of sadness in his eyes even though most of his works were of comedic nature. I liked him even more for that but maybe he was really sad but just smiled

This is leaving a much bigger impact than Michael Jackson's death did, never realized how big of an impact he made on the movies I watched growing up ;_;

Saw this randomly mentioned in the Giant Bomb thread on gaming side and thought it was a joke but then there was a BBC link and now I'm super upset.

Genie from Aladdin will always be my favourite of his roles I think because I love that movie and it was one of my favourite Disney films as a child (and still is of course).

RIP

We've lost a fucking giant.

This is a horrible, unthinkable day.

I don't think I've had this reaction to someone I didn't know dying since Phil Hartman.

My wife and I just got home from a wonderful day out together and then I sit down and the first thing I see just about is this thread. This is devastating, he was one of my all time favorite celebrities of all time. I love his comedies, but a part of me always loved his dramatic roles even more. Insomnia, One Hour Photo, and many more including the amazing Awakenings. This is one of my favorite films ever, and I hate that so few people ever mention it. I haven't even seen it hardly mentioned with this news. If you haven't seen it, go watch it please...

RIP Mr. Robin Williams, you were a legend and will always be missed.

It is such a shame that so many of those that bring us to tears with laughter ultimately bring us to tears with their terribly sad and depressing deaths. Have it be drugs, and overdose, or a suicide it is just awful. No matter if you liked his style of comedy or not, he obviously tried so hard to bring a smile to everyone and it was killing him on the inside, at least in part. It has been rumored for a long time, but ugh, just so sad. Thanks for the memories.

First George Carlin back in 08 and now Robin Williams. Two true fucking artists of the craft.

My favorite two comedians gone.

Thank you for all the laughs Robin, you truly were a master and one of a kind.
