How fucking empty do you have to be to do something like this? Let's laugh when their parents die!, fucking cunts.
I'd like to see some internet justice against those guys. 4chan style.

As requested a few times already, can people please stop quoting that twitter pic. Its bad enough seeing it once, let alone over and over and over again.

Please stop re-quoting those tweets, those people have already been suspended (though just means the assholes can create new accounts :/ )

Can't believe there are such inhuman people that will try their best to make people sad... :/

time to move on from these twitter folks. idiots will be idiots will be idiots. lets not forget about this man's career and individual character over some stupid tweets which are best forgotten. everyone will eventually remember these attention seekers as....well they won't be remembered so there is that contribution in their lives.

FFS - Some people just do not deserve to live in this world. Those tweets are absolutely disgusting.

I usually dislike 4Chan but them guys need to humiliate those tweeters.

those people sending awful and disgusting tweets to Zelda... don't they have anything else better to do with their life?

Twitter should ban them and prevent them from coming back using their IP (I know it can be easily avoided but it's a start)

I'd like to see some internet justice against those guys. 4chan style.

What the fuck is wrong with people

Please stop reposting these images. Yes, they're disrespectful, but now that the people have been removed from twitter, all you're doing is allowing their hateful words to have more exposure and derailing any sort of valid discussion of Robin Williams in this thread.

Everytime I come over to Off-Topic somebody's dead...

I don't think I'll ever forget the picture with him, Carmack and Reznor, such an awesome photo. I feel terrible for Zelda ...

Apparently she has now quit twitter and Instagram. What's wrong with people?

It's really the smartest thing for her to do...at least for a while. She should try to stay away from social media for a good couple months. I'm sure it's comforting to a point to get supportive comments from strangers who really appreciated her father as a performer, but just focusing on being with her family & friends for now is best.

Robin Williams joked about losing half of his half of his money through divorces (was even going to name his special about alimony). But I think going from Hollywood superstar (who was still exploited by Disney) to just making the minimum scale including a quickly cancelled sitcom (which he admits was a financial necessity, needed a regular source of income) must've hurt him more than just financially. On Letterman he joked about "where's that thing? oh that's right it's gone now". He was overworked and over-stressed at 63, RIP

This is a decent article chronicling the tortured soul that was Robin Williams since 1983, RIP:

I really hope it wasn't about the money. From his interviews, he really seemed proud of his classic roles & wanted to keep making classy films.

As far as money, he had a sequel to Mrs. Doubtfire in the works, was in Night at the Museum 3, which is a blockbuster & completed several independent movies.

Then again, maybe he view Mrs Doubtfire sequel as a cheap cash grab, was only in a bit role in Night at the Museum & only did the indie movies for the money as well?

Ugh, I just remembered I actually met Robin Williams at E3 over 10 years ago when Ubisoft debuted Splinter Cell for Xbox.

He was a MASSIVE Tom Clancy fan. He was glued to Ubisoft's booth for a while that day and he was just there as a fan.

This damned world sucks.

I'm having a good time going through his classic movies. I haven't seen any of them as an adult, so it's like I'm watching them for the first time. I apparently forgot every single thing about Jumanji. I watched Mrs. Doubtfire the day before, and tonight I will be watching Hook!

I always see a lot of love for Hook, and all I really remember about it was that I didn't care for it when I was a little kid. Hopefully I will now that I'll understand what is going on.

The SAG rep had to explain that the rates for on-camera singing are a fair bit higher than off camera plus lip sync (to the tune of about $800 more per singer, with over 30 singers.)

Weird how these rules sometimes pigeonhole you into an inflexible situation.

Christ those Twitter quotes are rage inducing. What kind of human being do you have to be to viciously attack the daughter (who's going to be profoundly heartbroken and devastated as it is) of a man that just died? And not just any man. Someone who's one of the most universally loved people on the planet.

On another note the British papers jumped all over this today. I walked past a news stand just now and Robin's front page on every newspaper. Usually when a celebrity dies I don't feel anything since obviously I don't particularly hold an intimate connection with whoever has passed but with Robin it was different.

He was part of my childhood with films like Hook and Aladdin (especially Hook) and I deeply enjoyed so many of his films in my teens like Patch Adams and Bicentennial Man. Seriously the latter is probably one of my favorite science fiction films of all time and it's predominantly down to his wonderful performance and his performance alone.

Such a good hearted man. Evidently a tortured soul but I think that makes his love for spreading laughter around the world even more remarkable. He was overcoming inner turmoil every single damn time. I think I might watch a Robin Williams film tonight to kind of "honour him" in my own little way. Some of you guys mentioned World's Greatest Dad.

It's one of the few films he's starred in that I haven't seen yet. Good choice?

Awesome. Learned he's a big FPS fan the other day thru the AMA. It was pretty amazing reading that, and thinking that he came across as so inimitably Robin even thru text. Even more amazing to consider that it was a mere 10 months ago. Even in the AMA though, you can kind of see some traces of sadness leaking thru (and I'm paraphrasing) "this will save me on therapy".

I really hope Zelda recovers from this ugly incident swiftly. She's always struck me as being every bit as graceful and warm as her father. It always put a smile on my face to see the two of them together in the Zelda commercials, you could tell they got along smashingly.

Since I've never actually perused his stand up material, or watched all of his films, I feel like I've got a wealth of material ahead of me to discover.

Thank you Robin. You were and are loved.

I pretty much grew up on his movies. He brought so much happiness to so many people's lives - I remember the time I saw Jumanji at the cinema like it was yesterday - I was only 8 but I loved it - read the book as well like a million times when I was a kid.

A true loss.

My heart goes out to all of his friends and family, especially Zelda. The both of you in the 3ds commercials were really heartwarming to watch. Focus on the the lives and the happiness which you shared - truly special.

I think Robin's death has impacted me so much (and celebrity death's don't) because I can relate to him.

Here's a famous comedian (IMO, the best ever) and actor, yet he was just as much of a fan of video games as I am (to the point where we had the same favorite series).

My heart goes out to Zelda, her siblings, Robin's wife and ex-wife, his extended family and everyone who has ever seen him on stage or screen.

And a major FUCK YOU to the trash who sent those tweets to Zelda.

These people must have sad, sad lives

Those type of people always come off as if they live some sort of superior life. They aren't as different as anyone else. They keep political affairs with them every single day and they play the fiddle when something serious happens. He is just like the Westboro Baptist church.

Man fuck those people who think he's burning in hell just because he committed suicide and died a disbeliever or some shit.

Some people arguing in comments to the news that his daughter left social media to make a scene and garner publicity...I wish I could spit on their faces through my monitor.
Fucking sociopathic, contrarian assholes.

I think it was posted earlier in this thread but I didn't say anything about it at the time. This picture warms my heart.

I have friends on Facebook that don't get why everybody turns out to be such a huge Robin Williams fan all of a sudden, but I think they just don't understand how that man played such a huge part in many people's childhood.
