Sheesh.
I find it informative in its ability to allow my feable mind to grasp the scale. My intuition tells me many people use Steam concurrently, and this one game can exceed that number.Weird comparison.
Yep, this low effort trash is what the kids want.

What I see with my nephews are kids who want to create and experience lots of new things. In Roblox, they can make their own fun stuff and play their friends fun stuff. There's MTX trash in there, sure, but there's a reason kids are flocking here, and games like Halo, Battlefield, and GTA are trying to create online "platforms" for people to make and share stuff.Yep, this low effort trash is what the kids want...
How is it still going?Amazingly, this company loses about $1B per year.
They've doubled sales AND losses since covid years. Back then there were $2B sales and $500M losses. Now they are at $4B sales and $1B losses.
Not sure, but skimming their financials they got lots of cash on hand and since their stock price has always been pretty good at minimum $30 (now at $100+). It started high way back when they IPOed and now. They can always sell shares if they wanted to build cash. How is it still going?
They're still cash flow positive, so those aren't necessarily cash losses. A lot of their losses are paper losses because of the way they do their accounting. A good chunk of their balance sheet expenses come from restricted stock compensation for employees, which shows up as an expense when awarded but can't be sold until it vests. They also defer recognition of revenue from paying customers and recognize it over something like 27 months. I don't quite understand it.Amazingly, this company loses about $1B per year.

Funny you say this because one of the most popular experiences in roblox right now is a game called "steal a brainrot". It prob has more concurrent players than 99% of the games out there. And how many are them are pedos?
I mean, there must be a ton since the company defends them, probably them that spend the most money.
I play it together with my daughter, she really likes the game, but 99 percent of these games are pure brainrot, with a few decent in between
Amazon and Netflix also had more money going out than coming in, years ago. That was their growth phase, same thing Roblox is in right now.How is it still going?
Sheesh.

How many are there again ? And who plays Roblox even after 17 wtfAlso I refuse to believe the reported number of people over 17 playing the game.
Any moment now! You flip the switch and all the 10 year olds that played for free will start paying!Irrelevant when they are still losing around 1B dollarucos a year.![]()
Roblox hit 47.3 million concurrent users. The highest ever recorded for a gaming platform.
