Critic Reviews

Cultured Vultures - Ash Bates - 7 / 10

The jank and glitches present in RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business make it hard to give it a higher score, but this is about as fun as uncomplicated FPS games get. Buy it, blast through it over a weekend, smile the entire time.

Evilgamerz - Daan Nijboer - Dutch - 7.5 / 10

Unfinished Business does what a good expansion should: it expands on the original without losing sight of what made the 2023 original so enjoyable. The action is still sluggish and hard-hitting, and the humor is also intact. The new enemies, locations, weapons, and abilities provide some fresh elements and variety. Is it revolutionary? No. But it doesn't need to be. Unfinished Business is a compact, well-developed addition, lasting about 10 to 12 hours, that delivers exactly what fans want: more RoboCop.

RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business is a lot of fun. I honestly did want more RoboCop, and that's exactly what I got. Sure, you don't get to ticket cars this time, but you do get to resolve disputes between neighbours and tell punks to make your day! I just wish that it didn't have so many major issues…

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is a stand-alone title where Teyon addresses past criticisms but still earns a ticket for its compromises. The focus shifts to intense police brutality in a faster-paced FPS, with quicker access to action and tougher foes. However, limited freedom and lingering technical flaws make the world feel less immersive—though bursts of action still showcase Teyon at its best.

Gaming Boulevard - Nick Vyvey - 9 / 10

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business doesn't try to rewrite the rulebook. Instead, it refines everything that worked in the original and trims what didn't. With tighter pacing, improved combat variety, a punchy narrative that honours its source material, and smart level design within a confined setting, this is a proper follow-up and a great jumping-on point for newcomers. It might be called Unfinished Business, but for Teyon, this feels like a job well done.

PSX Brasil - Isabella Alves - Portuguese - 85 / 100

It's always great to find games inspired by films that respect and embrace the entire universe created. RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business is one of those games that tells an excellent story, adding significantly to the lore established by the films. It's remarkable that the title knows exactly where it's going and manages to deliver on its promises. The new additions bring a certain freshness, enriching the narrative without losing the essence established by Rogue City. A great action game and an excellent addition to the RoboCop universe.

PlayStation Universe - Adam Byrne - 7 / 10

RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business sets out its stall just by virtue of its title and has enough in the tank to provide for a worthwhile outing, particularly at its lower price point. For those who found a lot to love in the preceding Rogue City, you'll find something very similar here, which is not nearly as much to its detriment as it is to its good.

Push Square - Robert Ramsey - 6 / 10

You can't really go wrong with Unfinished Business if you enjoyed its underrated predecessor, but expectations need to be kept in check. This standalone follow-up is disappointingly rough around the edges, and although its comically violent combat remains satisfying, it's not varied enough to elevate the entire action-heavy campaign.Still, we're never going to say no to more Rogue City. Teyon still manages to capture the campy 80s spirit of RoboCop here, and that'll drive most players to the top of OmniTower.

SECTOR.sk - Matúš Štrba - Slovak - 7 / 10

Unfinished Business offers a more action-driven and story-focused experience than the base game, with solid movie tie-ins and satisfying combat. However, the side content is weaker, and the RPG elements feel out of place. A fun 11-hour ride, though it misses the chance to fix some flaws from the original.

Xbox Achievements - Richard Walker - 60%

RoboCop: Rogue City defied expectations by managing to be a recent movie adaptation that wasn't a big old pile of stinky poo. Developer Teyon had...

XboxEra - Jesse Norris - 7.5 / 10

RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business is a solid step-up from the original, though performance on Xbox is a bit rough.

More of the same is pretty much what everyone wanted. Hopefully the bugs arent too bad, dont recall any specific ones in the original.

The review by "Worth a Buy" from the off, is incorrect by calling this entry a sequel, when it never was to begin with...

I'm confused, skimming those review previews, it sounds like they all liked it and said it was a lot of fun, and more of what you'd want from robocop….then gave it a 6 etc…

Loved the main game. I assume Unfinished Business is not PS5 Pro Enhanced? On a side note, "Unfinished Business" sounds a lot like the state of modern games and the industry

lol who gives a crap what the reviewers think? All reviews should basically say "Did you like the original main entry? Then you will probably like this or not like this."

The base game was fun, but the later parts ran so poorly on Ps5 that I don't have much desire for more of it. And it sounds like this is even more of a technical mess.

Sounds like it's more of the same, which is absolutely fine. Rogue City is a blast. The formula just works, particularly if you're a fan of the source material.

Seems just like the first. Great potential, high nostalgia, but as you play them you kinda want more and it feels underwhelming. They should've cooked more, made it a more immersive-sim with greater level design, and they would've nailed it.

this game barely justifies its 10hrs playtime without any "more of the same" expansion pack.

Anyone calling the gameplay sluggish doesn't understand what they're trying to do with this game. You're supposed to walk out into open fire and tank bullets

They've never watched the movie (one of the best sci-fi movies of all time, even movies of all time) i guess.

Anyone playing this? Thoughts?

I put it down because I ran into a bug that prevents you from picking up weapons and there's currently no workaround for it. Its not a rare bug either, loads of people on the steam forums are complaining about it.

Game needed more time in the oven.

I'm playing on PS5.
I just reached the part with the third playable character.
Like the first one, I'm having a blast.

I had two instances where the camera during dialogue was at the wrong place. No other bugs.

Anyway the game is awesome. I would say it is even better than the main game as there has not been so far a low point like that sniping level with the motorcycle enemies.

The formula is great. Fun encounters, some breathing space with npcs and side quests and great exploration.

To think gamers have missed these gems...

First one scratched an itch so I'll pick this up at some point. But that's gonna be like a 10 sale or ps+ freebie point

Just reached the part when you play as
Ed-209
and then i found a pcb 7.3, a fucking beast, the auto 9 is unstoppable with it

Finished after almost 15 hours, such a great dlc.

But there was a nasty bug that make chaning weapons impossible, thank god the base gun become basically the strongest gun in the game with the right upgrades.

I am waiting for this bug to be patched before playing it

I just finished the game and yep, this is true even on a PS5 Pro. UE5 at work. But it was fun enough I would give this a try.

Another buggy release. I've already had a lot of small glitches on PS5 and I've only done 4 levels, including a companion getting stuck and unable to proceed to the door to advance in the mission. I also couldn't complete a side quest in mission 3, because the npc's stopped being interactive (probably because I didn't take interest in the quest right away). Disappointing, because the potential is there. The large tower is definitely giving off Dredd vibes (the last movie) and I enjoyed the first flashback mission.

The Unfinished Business DLC feels like playing the same game, which is a good thing. I like the combat in this game. It's arcade-like, but great fun, especially the headshots! I'm halfway through the game and haven't encountered a single bug, so it seems they've fixed the aforementioned weapon-changing bug. As for performance, I saw some traversal stutters from time to time (nothing that would distract from the experience) but framerate is solid. I can even play this game at native 4K with DLAA and FGx2 and get smooth 100fps, but DLSS balance is looking exactly the same while boosting framerate into 150-175fps. In the original Robocop: Rogue City, even DLSS Quality increased lumen noise and GI boiling noticeably but this does not happen here, even with the DLSS performance picture quality is solid. I wonder if that's because they're using the latest UE5 with improved lumen rendering, or if DLSS itself has been improved.
