Yay, more Coheed. I hear the new album is pretty great.
Cool, I haven't heard the new album but they say it's awesome so,

FUCK YES!! COHEED and VIOLENT FEMMES!

Amazing!

This also means we're never getting Pantera. :( They've missed three opportunities for adverDLC with them now.
If it isnt adverDLC then we may get a superior pack.

Problem is I can't sing for shit while playing guitar, but if I only had to sing a harmony on a song I knew, it's possible I'd be able to fudge my way through it.

On that note though, I really wish they'd lower the vocal track, and integrate it in some way with the note highway, when you choose to play like that. It's near impossible to play both at the same time and pay attention to the charts.

From what I've heard, Sony is the hardest of the three to work with/on.

Without going into specifics, I don't think this is true at all. They may not help you but they will let you do almost anything you want...

Oh, and yay, Violent Femmes and more Siouxsie and the Banshees!

It's not totally their fault that Sony doesn't have a user-based creation system in place to handle the RBN stuff. A lot of the reason RBN is so easy on 360 is because there's already that XNA backbone set up for handling distribution and payment and all of that.
This again. The songs are ready all they need is to release it on PSN after the one month exclusive thing. They can ask for a RBN section on PSN like how Capcom and EA has their own section on the store, and problem solved.

Then I wonder why Sony keeps supporting them with Playstation destination and Summer tours. Rock Band is one of the few 3rd party games to get Sony's support every year.

Rock Band Unplugged got support from Sony too, with bundles, ads, PSP go bundles, etc...

Up to this moment I don't care about RBN but the whole XNA excuse is bullshit.

Rock group No Doubt has won the latest round in its ongoing legal battle with Activision.

In November 2009, the group filed a lawsuit against the publisher over the use of its name and likeness in Band Hero, alleging that it had been transformed “into a virtual karaoke circus act” because players can perform songs using No Doubt avatars that weren’t approved by the band.

No Doubt said that Activision had breached its contract and filed for damages and a temporary restraining order.

This week, the Los Angeles County Superior Court issued a tentative ruling rejecting Activision's effort to invoke freedom-of-speech protections under the 1st Amendment in defence of the broader use of the No Doubt avatars, reports the LA Times.

Activision previously attempted to have the case moved to a federal court by arguing that it was a copyright matter and not a right-of-publicity issue, but this was also denied.

And lol @ dlc. Thanks Harmonix for making Blister in the Sun seem possible, maybe we'll get it a year from now...? zzz.

So I just got Lego rock band and played the random setlist on the haunted manor venue. It chose hangar 18 and I was completely floored a how well it matched up. It seems like it can't be a coincidence. Everyone go play that song on that level now. Preferably on vocals so that you can sit back and enjoy the awesome.

Doesn't Microsoft too? Seeing as 1/3 of RBN money goes to Microsoft and they're supposed to have a similar deal to the real thing.
Regular XNA content (Community/Indie games) give a 70/30 split in the favor of the developer. With RBN, it's the other way around.

I don't know all the details, but I don't think that MS charges for that stuff.

I like it much more than his last one. With that other avatar, he looked just like a dozen other people on GAF. Now he's unique again, just like he should be.

I'm like 5 minutes into watching Ninja Assassin. Holy shit, is this bloody!

Awww...you guys...

Was going to make a thread about this, but it would probably be just as good in here:

I have never had a semester like this one. Shitty professors, classes, assignments, etc. It has gotten to the point were I just don't give a fuck about school anymore; at all. My major is a fucking joke (I am pretty much stuck in it now), and I don't see a future after school. Part-time adjunct work at local community colleges might be the best I could do. I am too far into it now to stop (I hopefully graduate in the fall), and my wife would kill me if I quit, but my motivation to complete the final assignments for the courses this semester, or the rest of the degree, is non-existent. It's ironic because I thought this was the most important semester where I would learn incredibly useful strategies for teaching and writing. Unending bullshit sums up this semester nicely, though.

Help, mock?

Finish out your degree and use it as an undergrad for something else? Unless you hate the idea of school, I couldn't be happier going to school personally, I get paid a lot of money to do next to nothing, how can I complain? :lol

Sorry to hear that, Space. I don't really have any advice for you, but you may just be experiencing some burnout from pushing yourself so hard and not really taking any breaks from your academia. Hopefully things turn around, and if you need a break to do something fun, just give me a call and we can jam for a bit anytime.

It's a Master's program...Yikes!

How old are you? 30? I mean another 3 years wouldn't kill you, and I believe that any amount of school, even if it takes 10 years, gets you into something you are happy with it's worth it. But then again you've probably been in school for 6 or 7 years already, so you could be sick of it.

A lot of my friends have degrees and their jobs have nothing to do with those degrees, they just used their degree to leverage better paying jobs.

Yeah, I think I just needed to bitch. Next week is the last week before finals, which I don't really have, so I will probably want to do something after next week. Maybe next Sunday, depending on how things play out. Thanks!

36, and I will hopefully finish this year. I started school late, after the Marines and a bunch of other crap, so I have been in school on and off for the past 8 years or so. This is most likely burnout.

woohoooo!!!

I remember regreting buying that song because it was the only one I could not 5-star....

None of those Coheed songs are going to be easy on drums. They sound ballsy on guitar as well but fucking Guns of Summer is seriously going to be crazy on drums.

I'm way more excited for American Music though.

Chris Pennie is ex-Dillinger Escape Plan, what did you expect?

You are amazing, Pedro! So awesome!
thanks my friend =)

the good thing is that if I go to Orlando I will be in my best drumming shape, I have played a lot lately...for some reason I am in love with RB again...

Unfortunately, I've only got a stock kit for you to play on. I love you, but I'm not gonna spend $300 on an ION for you to play on.

Pity we didn't get any DEP when Option Paralysis came out, HMX fail again. They can redeem themselves by releasing this,

A metal album that even Dave likes.

It is hard to believe but my rolls improved drastically after playing TBRB. Im GSing some maiden songs lately because Im finally hitting those fast Nikko tom rolls.

If you have an ION kit, you're cheating. Stock hardware or bust.

I would've picked different Coheed songs but I'm still gonna buy them whenever I come out of RB retirement.

The Broken
World of Lines
In the Flame of Error

superior new album pack.
