Outside of the drum solo in the beginning, there is absolutely nothing else going on for drums.

It's also going to be censored on vocals, so nuts to that.

Nah I don't bother with the tourneys around here, never know when work needs me to go out of town so I don't want to be a no show or anything like that.

I am in love with Juri, holy shit. Also, the online is so damn good. I have yet to have a laggy match, just a bunch of bitter bitches :lol

Unless it was rigged, like some are saying.


I assume UStream will have the full thing up some time because I want to watch it.
 
It is now confirmed Megadeth is cancelled for Ecuador.

The company that was organizing the event took out all ads and are not selling tickets anymore...they DID NOT SAY ANYTHING to the public, they just took everything out as if nothing happened.

I watched in the news a few minutes ago and there is a riot there...people are destroying the building asking for an explanation...the police is trying to calm down the people. There are lots of death threats on blogs and on facebook to the organizator that seems to be perfectly identified.

This will not end good.

Edit: Some rumors say it may be postponed...but the possibilities are really slim...I fear they have a new date when Im on my vacations in USA.

It is a letter to the organizator...people from other cities are coming here to protest. He has 2 days to give an explanation. If not...he will have to face the consequences.

Complete with phone number, his address and some of his family members, pics...and more personal info.

I don't remember Duck's Mad Catz article mentioning this (or maybe he just didn't highlight it).. MTV Games contract with Mad Catz for their controllers is a 5-year deal. So it looks like at least someone will be supporting them for a good while to come.

You have to take into account where Pedro lives, and how often a band of that caliber will do a show there. Whenever an artist does a European tour, you can be pretty much guaranteed that there'll be a show a couple hours from where you're at. I'm in a similar situation, in that anyone doing a North American tour is more than likely doing Miami or Atlanta, which are about 5 and 8 hours drive, respectively (sadly Maiden is doing neither).

This will probably be the only time in an Ecuadorian's life that they'd be able to see Megadeth, as South American tours are not very frequent. A lot of them probably don't have the money to travel to the US to see them, even if they are a mega-fan.
 
That doesn't mean a threat of violence isn't a ridiculous over reaction and something to be looked down upon. Be upset they aren't playing but unless the whole thing was a hoax you can't blame the business when there's not enough people buying tickets to justify putting it on.

Not saying I condone their actions, but I can empathize with them in being frustrated. Would I go to great lengths to cause physical/emotional harm to the promoter? Absolutely not. But I'm a rational person. Some people are not.
 
We should get together a RBGAF Skate team for all of the co-op challenges and whatnot. I know we'll have me, Name(?) and now Milch, more than likely. I've got a friend locally that would play too. He's got a GAF account, but has only made like 2 posts.
 
Me and two of my friends are going to have Skate 3 as well, neither of them has a GAF account or even knows what it is though:lol But I might still be able to help out on any that you need a fourth for.
 
I'm not sure when I'll get it, unfortunately. It's too expensive in Germany as every EA game is, so I'll probably wait for a (UK) bargain.

Skate 3 that is, stupid new page.
 
Looks like the Skate 3 "teams" are only 3 people. So we'll be able to have a couple teams set up, and if it's easy enough, we can sub in for others when they're not available.
 
Didn't know that, I haven't kept up too much with the game outside of some basic stuff (hardcore mode, new city, ect.). In that case I'll probably just remain on the sidelines as a sub for anything if need be seeing as how I already have two other people to fill out a team. Definitely willing to help out anyone if the need arises though.
 
Though I will go ahead and mention now, the demo area for Skate 3 was rather mediocre. Probably best if you don't hold that against it too much as I'm sure the final product will have much better areas to skate.

Fair enough. I'll just say that while the demo spot didn't seem stellar I'm sure that won't be the norm for most of the areas in the game. They seem to be making an effort to improve the overall enjoyment one can get from the areas in the game(to the extent of creating three distinct areas as opposed to one flowing city that was restricted by its very nature).

You really understand the frustration my friend...add the fact that it is the fn Rust in Peace Tour...and that people already have tickets and lots of employees have already asked for a permission and reserved plane tickets (May 4th is tuesday)

The problem started when they thought we were idiots and announced via a "friend of a spokeperson" on Facebook that Megadeth was stuck in Europe and because of the volcano problem they could not make here...

People felt insulted because everybody knows that Megadeth is in Brazil now...the friend of the spokeperson closed his facebook account short after and then the organizators did not say anything.

After lots of rumors, the ads and everything magically dissapears and until this very day there is no explanation of that.

Then...another spokeperson says that presales were very low and the concert will be cancelled for that.....some people went to investigate to the ticket selling places and were told that the sell rate was going a bit faster than Korn (they sold out the colliseum)....so this was ANOTHER lie....

THEN we get noticed that tickets are ONLY being sold here in Quito and not in many major cities like it was done before and that the activity just started last week were it should have started 3 weeks ago.

Now it was published somewhere that people bringing Megadeth does not want them here because of bad organization...he even mentioned Lars Ulrich comments on January "Ecuador is not ready for this" (Metallica also cancelled their show here and went to Peru because of this idiots)...this infuriated people and midnight lots of fans went to destroy the building.

Now somebody is begging the people to calm down and wait for an announcement...that it may be postponed and not cancelled....

But there is still a countdown for the head of the administrators and information of his family is still circulating on the internet.

Of course Im taking no part of the violence or death threats...but I am very frustrated and sad. Even sadder after seeing videos of their concert in Mexico....it was fantastic...Hangar 18 was incredible with people chanting "MEEE GA DETH!!" in the long solo....

Im really really mad but obviously Im not doing any violence.
