Spoon seems like one of those bands that I would like but...I really don't. Just think they are kinda blah. I bought Transference on that super cheap Amazon daily deal and thought it was meh except for Got Nuffin, I'll probably get that.

Best track on Youthanasia is Killing Road tbh. Victory would be great for guitar.

Ashour needs to hand in his metal card tbh, dissing Slayer is sacrilege even if everything that came after Seasons in the Abyss has been kinda meh.

I bought the Seasons in the Abyss album a few years. The song of that name is fantastic but the rest of it sounds the same. It's someting I'd listen to if I wanted thrash in the background though.

I thought of Spoonman upon hearing of the Spoon dlc :(

I liked Divine Intervention (Dittohead is my fav Slayer song ever, I know, I know), Christ Illusion, and God Hates Us All, but am kinda meh on Diabolus in Musica and World Painted Blood. I like them but they are not classics.

Diabolus and World Painted Blood are the only Slayer albums I'm meh about. It took a long time to convince myself Christ Illusion was good. The lyrical timing in most of its songs was flat out awful.

I'll never understand the hate for God Hates Us All, although it did mark the transition into this "new Slayer" territory which I can understand pissed some people off.

Popularity never seemed to be a bench mark. "Cool for Cats," "De-Luxe," "Shoulder to the Plow," "Visions," etc. Who the fuck had ever heard of those? But still that list sucks all kinds of ass, even with Opeth in it.

Some of the riffs in CI are amazing, and Lombardo back was very nice. GHUA was just so abrasive, even for Slayer. I think that's why I love it so much. Hyde's production rips your face off.

Agreed. You always knew what you were getting with Slayer. Then they started hanging out with these nu-metal bands on festival tours and came out with shit like:

The chorus riffs for Flesh Storm and Catalyst off CI floor me everytime I hear them. They seem like throwaway riffs (and they really seem to copy one another), but they absolutely make the songs.

No, it shouldn't have. I turn my camera on is a way better song than Sister Jack and is much less played out. Kinda dissapointed that You got Yr Cherry Bomb or The Underdog aren't on there, Transference wasn't a great album and we get two songs from that instead, I'm really not going to complain about it though, I'm just happy theres some Spoon in my RB now.

Ravien how you gonna hate on some real indie when you listen to pop-indie?

I despise the site with all my heart, but joystiq reviewed it and said it was worse than a pile of dog shit in your mouth pretty much. Broken, buggy, glitchy, and stupid.

Alpha Protocol is structurally flawed, but perhaps most damning -- considering the thing was apparently done six months ago -- it's a technical nightmare. Textures take forever to pop-in (and sometimes even pop back out!); enemies hover 10 feet above platforms; there are frequent, seemingly random load times that can range from 3 to 15 seconds, and even occur right in the middle of dialog. Trust me, I could go on.

Yeah everyone at that site is a moron. However, calling out bugs isn't really an opinion so I'll listen to people on that front.

I had Deadly Premonition ruined for me before it came out so I couldn't bring myself to play it past the opening level.

Fair enough. I just..can't believe the lack of consistency from that reviewer. In no world is Deadly Premonition worthy of a 10:lol I can't speak on the quality of Alpha Protocol, still debating on if I want to pick it up with my large backlog..
