Does anyone know if the Lyrics Database Project in the second post was killed, or did it just kind of die out? 'Cause if it was wanted I could help out with Rock Band-specific lyric sheets.

It's a wiki site. You can update it yourself if you'd like, just make sure you follow the formatting.

I have been lazy about it ever since someone else started helping out, but they seem to have abandoned it too.

I know it's a wiki but the thing is I didn't know if I should really put Rock Band stuff on there; my stuff is split up by RB phrasing (not normal lyric sheet "sentence" splitting) and it will have all the RB censoring/screw-ups.

100000x better than the 00s.

Somewhat better than the 80s.

The more I am able to see through Dave's trollfests, the more I see that he actually knows what's up.

00s music was a wasteland of bands putting out one single and then being dropped in favor of the next big thing.

80s has some GREAT stuff but there was such a huge amount of terrible over-synthed stuff. The 90s took some of these awesome sonic technological advances and utilized them in a way that was not just a gimmick.

Second (stealth?) edit: Also I always laugh at decade designations...as if 1990 is more like 1999 than 1989.

90s had Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pantera and some funny bands....So... 70s>60s>80s=90s>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>2000 >>>now. Only Talking about modern music here. Classical and also a few movie soundtracks are in their own league!

There's been so much quality music in each decade that its such a subjective thing.

For me 90s=80s>70s>00s>60s

It should be noted I'm basing this on majority stock of my favorite bands from each decade.

- Just bought my tickets for Pavement/Sonic Youth at the Hollywood Bowl
- I'm excited for Green Day Rock Band next week
- I'm laughing at the decades discussion coming from anyone born after 1970
- Dave is out of control

It's funny you say that because I am interested in going to that event just to go see Sonic Youth. I have no interest for Pavement or No Age. We'll see. I'll try to convince some of my friends to see if they want to go.

80s had Peace Sells, Heaven and Hell, Killing Is My Business, Kill 'em All, Beneath the Remains, Reign in Blood, Discipline and Permanent Waves. 80s win

Was also the golden years of Iron Maiden, which is pretty much an auto win.
