The GH5 one is great and probably the best guitar available on the HD consoles imo. The GH6 one just looks terrible. Once again, I'd love to just be able to get a RB guitar but mushy strumbars don't cut it for me.

What I find kinda funny is that you always say that the current new guitar they release is always the best and always change your opinion when the new one comes. I still think the World Tour guitar is the best. It just feels right. I did like the GH 5 guitar a lot though, but not enough to warrant a purchase.
 
Well the GH5 one is just like the WT one except everything is better... of course I'm gonna change my mind. The strumbar is godlike. There's absolutely no way the GH6 one is better than the GH5 one though, it looks like a piece of dog shit.
 
First of all I have to check 6 pages to catch up, this hasn't happened in forever. Way to go HMX :D

I felt the strumbar was better, but I found the frets identical to the World Tour one.
 
I'm just glad the song isn't Holy Diver. That would have made me mad.

Hopefully there's a Dio DLC pack because there's still so many good songs.
 
The only thing I'm worried about is price, I want the keyboard the mustang pro and the pro drums. Think it'll be under 350? doubtful, but I hope.

Finally ill get some fucking recognition for using cymbals all you drummers step up and prepare to get owned. And I can shred a real guitar pretty damn well so if the real tar works good ill never quit this game.

Wouldn't it be awesome if you can just jam with the guitar and have all sorts of processing options available, similar to the drums freestyle mode.

The 'pro' is a strat, not the mustang, sorry if that wasn't clear...

and, yes, an open jam ability would be cool...maybe one that allows you to jam with drums, guitar, and keyboard all at once...hell, throw in the mics with some simple reverb options...
 
Fuck! Serious the mustang doesn't have strings? That's like my favorite guitar ever... whatever ill live with a mexi-caster. Would the quality presumably be worse? Like a taiwanese strat? The mexican made ones have always been decent, but hover around the 300 dollar range, but then they probably won't have pickups...or will they? Can we upgrade them? Ahhh so many questions!

I've said it a 100 times and I'll say it again. Music videos are the worst, I fucking hate them with a passion.

Also PLEASE HMX make and option for different scrolling speed and save hyperspeed option.

Wow too many post reunion songs, the internet is gonna flip :lol . Also no Shattered Fortress in DT's set make me sad, and only one song from pre-Rudes albums, that kinda suck and they picked an OK song too, there's at least 5 better songs from that album alone.

Wow that's pretty awful for both bands. That Maiden setlist is absolute garbage.
 
You've got Rock Band trying to innovate the music genre with the addition of the keyboard, the ability to teach people instruments with pro mode and you've got Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock pursuing a focus on story and pig transformations. :(

At least the set list for Warriors of Rock is good though.

I wonder what the likelihood is of Harmonix holding back a major artist announcement for E3 next week. I mean, I guess people like The Doors or something, but there really isn't a ZOMG artist in the initial batch there that hasn't been in a game before.

The only ZOMG artists left are Floyd, Zeppelin and the idea of Beatles exports.
 
It's also interesting that besides Hendrix, they don't have any of their other exclusive acts announced as of yet. I'm sure the game will have songs by AC/DC, The Who (made for the entire setup so soooooo much) and Green Day, but what will they be?
 
Holy. Fuck. The keyboard and the keyboard runway look great. Can't wait to see what the pro guitar runway looks like. I'm assuming Expert mode will be like RB and RB2?

Any word if old content is retroactively compatible with pro mode, or are we just shit outta luck?

Also, Guitar Hero looks REALLY silly now. While Dave is busy fulfilling his inner pig fantasies, everyone else will be playing Dio songs for real. :lol :lol :lol

Playing a song with just guitars/drums/other instruments?
Drop in drop out during songs
etc?

The things that made GH5 "innovative"
 
I'm kinda split right now. Keyboard looks better than I thought it would and the note highway looks acutally useful, so that's aweseome as hell. But then there's all this real shit. No, I won't buy a stupid real guitar that I can use in RB, I've already got three. And I probably won't buy new drum hardware besides a Hi-hat pedal maybe, but that's not confirmed yet.

Listening to the songs now and I'm curious if they'll chart accent hits on drums, that Phoenix song has one roll that would fit right in.

Drums might be. If you author properly, the game would know whether a hit is a "pad" (snare/tom) or cymbal (hi-hat/crash/ride) based on what you animated it to be. So it could figure out Pro mode from that.

Drop in/drop out is in, but 4 drummers is out.
