hey Kayotix do a bet with Baker about that feature
I would have no problem paying money for that feature because it would be awesome. I still think it's a mix-up in semantics at the moment though.

*If it worked with the mics. Fuck Natal.

And that's one of the tame parts. wat

This is some great news to wake up to. Loving everything that's been revealed so far. The wait for this game is going to be excruciating. It's definitely time to upgrade my drum set from this crappy RB1 set I've been using all these years. GOTY.
dont tell me you passed Guns of Summer with RB1 drums.

Yup. I do have those official silencers though which help out a little. I think I'll be a much better drummer once I get a set that actually has some rebound. I really don't have any problems with the set dropping notes so I never upgraded.

you are awesome. I dont have you in my friends list. What is your GT?

I played drums for the first time in months last night while playing GD:RB with my son. It was brutal. Time to practice again so I'll be ready when RB3 comes out.

Now I'm fucking hungry for a real meal. All I eat over lunch are stupid Lean Cuisine/Healthy Choice frozen stuff.

I'm having Burger King because I hate myself.

Anyway, I just really want to know what the details of RBN2.0 are gonna be. Will we have Pro Mode support, can we patch older songs, etc.

It there are achievements for "realtar", and no lefty version available, I will RAGE! The existing plastars, while not optimal, are perfectly playable by lefties. A realtar wouldn't due to the strings. FFUUUU!

Uhh you just re-string it, not too difficult.

So, does the keyboard mean we might get classical music as DLC now? It would provide a real challenge, and it would even be much cheaper for Harmonix to make- since it's all public domain, they don't have to pay hefty licencing fees- just get a really good pianist to come down to the studio, pay him for some recordings, a voilà.

Then teaching you to play songs would be pointless as the strings wouldn't be right.

Yeah. They really should put out a lefty. Even if it's direct order only or something. Name, this might be what you need to get over your hump and work on the skills man. I've been slacking myself lately so I'm really curious to see how this works, what the highway looks like etc. I'm pretty excited about it.

Anything is possible I bet.

RBN already has classical music tracks, so I'm sure charters are already salivating at the possibilities when RBN2.0 launches.

You have to at least change the nut too, or the strings won't fit properly.

Well obviously, if Kurt Cobain can do it on a strat you can too! But it won't cost (much)more for them to let you do this.

Lefties need not worry about whammy placement either, the only thing that sucks for lefties is the pickgaurd because it offers no protection when playing a righty guitar lefty.

And bullshit on the solo's thing within 8 months of (heavily) playing guitar I was playing the entirety of Master of Puppets and One note for note. They're obvi going to have to mod the fail out meter for pro mode, but it's going to be balanced. I wouldn't be surprised if they made it harder to fail out during a solo, or if they had a way to switch solos to "easy" mode while in pro mode, it still needs to be really accessable in that regard.

I think the highway is going to fuck me over because I assume the numbers will fall like the notes do and not scroll like the vocal highway, it's going to hurt my brain for a bit for sure.

Intonation would have to be fixed as well.

I'm just proving that this may be too much trouble for what someone getting RB3 for the pro mode wants to deal with, so having a lefty guitar would be a much easier solution.

(or they could just sack up and learn to play right handed, like I did)

This puzzles me though, since it supposedly knows where your fingers are, the intonation wouldn't matter. You would just want your strings to feel tight. But I guess if you were strumming something grossly out of tune it wouldn't sound nice when playing with the song. Definitely wouldn't give you the level of satasfaction that comes from guitar playing if you couldn't hear yourself in tune.

And right the fuck on for some passion pit! Matt and Kim maybe?! PLZ!

Sounds like a real hoot on guitar. :/

Some nightwish for RB3 would be awesome, and they have some nice key parts too.

Yep. Stratavarious, Evergrey, Savatage, Kamelot, on and on and on and on.... and we'll never see shit all from any of them (though maybe some more DT is possible and would be nice)

I would take anything from Grand.

You're in NYC aren't you? have you had the pleasure of seeing them? I had a friend that went to pastery chef school in Brooklyn (maybe manhattan) he saw them like 6 times while he was there, he actually turned me onto them a long time ago.

those are likely the real-tars they will be using, I don't see how, at that base price harmonix can make them cost more than 200$.

They're using Squier Strats, which are just a step above the ones you linked. I'm gonna guess MTV(or Mad Catz or whoever) cut a deal with Fender to buy the guitars at manufacturing price or close to that and give Fender a cut of the profit from the sell.
