Boston pack. No contest.Costanza said:so uh, let's shut up about metal for a few minutes.
what would you guys say is the best overall week in RB1's 10 months of life? I'm going with June 24th because we got a Pixies album and Weezer Pack 1 on the same day. Too awesome.
ok, that pack is the one exception to my "any song I like is usually fun to play in music games." rule. wonderwall is SO FUCKING HORRIBLE on guitarTen-Song said:Best week ever for me was when the Oasis pack came out.
I agree 100%. Great songs on all instruments. Rock Band needs more jam bands.TheGreatDave said:Grateful Dead are way too overlooked. Their songs are really fun on guitar.

Now we just need to overpower all the lame-o indie and britrockers.

is there nothing reinforcing the bottom?
TheGreatDave said:Killswitch Engage are fucking awful. Awful awful awful. I heard their cover of Holy Diver. Awful. TERRIBLE. Their song in GH:3. AWFUL. Everything I've been subjected to. DESPICABLE.
I don't hate metal in general. I just find it hard to pay attention to it for too long. I keep planning on listening to the Painkiller album by Judas Priest, but I end up loving the title track then just now wanting to listen to any other one.

TheGreatDave said:Fuck this. Shitty metal AND a promtional tie in.

That's the third best week after Boston and Rush/RHCP.Sp3eD said:Best week was Jimmy Buffett week. Perfect RB songs.

This has been the best month of DLC since launch!
METAL DEFENSE FORCE UNITE!
I wish they had released more than three songs this week. I'm ready for them to step it up again.
I would say that the Jimmy Buffett pack was the biggest DLC surprise to me. I knew all the songs and I like Jimmy Buffett, but when I heard it was coming I thought it wouldn't work. I would have never thought that those songs would be among my favorites to play. I pretty much only play drums and the songs are easy but the charts have great variety and are just a blast to play.Sp3eD said:Best week was Jimmy Buffett week. Perfect RB songs.
Yeah, I can't speak for the guitar/bass side of those songs. I think I only played each song once on the guitar. I think I remember the other songs being pretty fun on guitar though.TheGreatDave said:Volcano is trash on guitar though. I barely hear what I'm supposed to be playing.

The opening solo to Bat out of Hell would be great. But then there's the full minute of the first verse with no guitar and no drums, just bass and vocals (and piano).TheGreatDave said:I'd buy Bat Out Of Hell. It'd probably be fun to play on guitar, though it does raise the question of when we're getting our keyboard instrument.
Yeah, Volcano is shit. Cheeseburger in Paradise is awesome though, especially since it triggered this:TheGreatDave said:Volcano is trash on guitar though. I barely hear what I'm supposed to be playing.
Oh god yes, full Paradise Lost please.Sandman42 said:

Besides, I'd rather see them do Paradise by the Dashboard Light....complete with the vocalist having to do the play-by-play bridge...and both parts of the duet.
