That was this week's replacement, it's just not advertised and not on the store. It's only marketplace.

(Random aside- they should have put up something by The Replacements.)

Naw, this is a leak, not an announcement. (At least, it's a leak for me until I see the ad myself.) They could announce it officially tomorrow and leave the 20 list for some later day.


But I really do hope they announce the freebies tomorrow. I wanna know.

I'm a little disappointed we didn't get that instead of Gone Away. Maybe we'll get another Offspring two-pack in the future.

The fact that there's still no Manic Street Preachers in either Rock Band or Guitar Hero baffles me, The Smiths are conspicuous by their absence as well,could also do with some Stone Roses in RB.

Manic Street Preachers are awesome (well...mostly) but if I want Euro music I still go with one: RAMMSTEIN

They would be epic...especially if they put in some of the pyro effects.
Who wouldn't want a customizable character with a muzzle that shoots fire?

Love the new Music Video cuts, loved the small changes.

That was posted yesterday and obviously wrong. So unless the Rock Band DLC twitter deleted their latest post or something, it seems like the DLC leaked today is still coming.

I don't think so, and probably. I don't see why it'd be any different other than minor interface changes. They're basing the entire music selection menu off it.

I just loaded up the box and only saw the Devo/Duran/Janitors stuff. Was thinking it was possibly a fake, like that old RHCP one, but then right before I turned it off, I saw it on the main dashboard screen. Three rotating images with one song from each pack in each image.

I got an update on my Twitter client from RockBandDLC talking about the "announced" DLC, as in the Offspring, PAX etc. Maybe he's took it down now, but it was there, and it's likely what was being referred to.

I saw a picture of the Singstar Store in Edge just now, and it's like...using left to right as well as up and down. I was shocked and amazed. So I was hoping the RB Music Store may have gotten a face lift to work on the x axis.

It was all going so smooth for Harmonix for months and months. Apart from that Beethoven's Cunt week did we ever have a delay with an announcement, or a leak on XBL/PSN?
 
Would love offspring.. though I already have two of my favorite in singstar (All I Want and Self-Esteem)

All I Want is hands down one of the funnest songs to sing ever.

RockBandDLC on Twitter is just a regular guy like us.

On that note, I wonder how much information is in the DLC of each song. I mean, RB2 adds album art and new individual ratings different from the current music store. Will that data already be on the RB2 disc or will it redownload it or was some of it already there?
 
Anyone know when the Megadeth/metal songs are going to raise in price? I haven't been able to get on Live and I wanna know how long I have to save $1.

They said they'd be $1 for a month, so they should go up around the same time RB2 comes out on the 360.

I am so confused with this week's constant stream of announcements/denouncements. What the hell is going on.
 
Hmm... I don't like rap (out goes Frontalot) or the Offspring (I'd probably call it inoffensive, if it's on the radio I probably won't switch the station) and the Locksley tracks don't sound bad, but they don't sound like they're worth the money. So, uhm, none for me.

I might get the Coulton track though. I really like his stuff, but Skullcrusher, while a great song, really isn't my ideal choice for this. I mean, yes, it's overexposed, but "Code Monkey" has some great crunchy riffs and I was thinking that "RE: Your Brains" might actually be a bit more fun to sing (and Belgand hate singing!).

Darkest of Hillside Thickets (great name) sounds interesting and not bad, but hearing some of their stuff (i.e. "A Marine Biologist") I don't feel like it would be fun to play. It just gives me these flashbacks to "Freya".

My dream pack for his stuff? The Future Soon, RE: Your Brains, and Mandelbrot Set.

Also, for Christmas, Harmonix should put out Chiron Beta Prime as a cheap/free track.

...Really? I'd think one would hate Metallica (and all metal in general) because of duller vocals and the genre being heavier and faster paced in general. Not because it's boring and puts you to sleep.
 
Something doesn't have to send you to sleep to be boring. I like a bit of Metallica, but there's a bread of metal out there (and I'm too shit with genres to describe it accurately, lets call it "shitty growly vocal nonsense with open string riffs played on a loop with double bass kicks every half a second") that bores me for the simple reason that every song sounds near identical.
