I tried plugging my driving wheel pedals into my xplorer back in GH2 AND again when GH3 came out, no success! :(

Pretty rad feature, I don't think I'd use it though, I like tilting

fans > cash imo

I don't really care about cute accessories and customization and stuff in RB/GH.
You can get some really awesome guitars with $30,000+. What do fans get you other than an achievement?

edit: costanza, give us some strat impressions for fucks sake, is the strum as good, better, or worse for down-strumming compared to the Les Paul? I'm on the verge of buying a new plastic guitar because I'm fed up with my Xplorer and I really really really would like impressions.

God damn Harmonix. I just got the Worldwide Promoter, and all the later songs are just freakin' metal. Bullshit. No one wants to sing them, no one wants to muddle through Guitar on them, and no one wants to kill themselves playing drums.

You just don't have the right friends. :P

This is why I love my Rock Band group. We can all beat any song on any instrument on Expert with very few exceptions. Makes playing so much more fun. :D

It's probably my favorite guitar yet.

The strum bar is VERY responsive and much quieter than the Les Paul too.

Too bad we can't see our RB2 band stuff on the RB community page yet.

A friend and I made an awesome band name and logo. "7 Baby Daddies" is the name. The logo is 7 crazy lookin baby things of all the colors of the rainbow circling a female robot head.
With a mushroom cloud behind them.

And the new Strat is awwww-w-w-w-w-w-w-wesome.

fake fans make me feel better about myself than fake money!
idk, fans make feel more accomplished than cash for some reason.

Dave,
to answer your question from the previous page, Candy-O would probably be the best Cars album to check out next. Personally, it's my favorite, and it has a lot of the same style as their first album. Shake It Up also continues this sound, and brings more than enough good to the table to justify its purchase.

I also like Heartbeat City, though know that this is mid-80's Cars at their most processed. There are still great tracks on it (a number you most likely already know like Drive and Magic) but Hello Again and I Refuse are stand-out tracks.

I don't know any of their songs except for the ones exposed to me through Rock Band. So everything would be new. I'll start with Candy-O. It has the most intriguing cover.

The new Strat is impossible to find near me. None of the Gamestops, Best Buys, Game Crazys, etc have it in. I've been making calls with no luck :(

Calibration worked too well for me. I was so used to compensating for the slight lag that I was missing notes due to it being spot on.

Yep, I used to compensate like half a beat on drums, but then if I messed with it the guitar felt off. The whole setup was just terrible. Now it's almost perfect and drums are actually fun.

Even my wonderful Les Paul has been causing me some problems lately. I'm sure they built stuff in to them to make them un-awesome after 10-11 months of usage >:(

I'm about to smash my fucking Les Paul's, the detachable necks just cause to many nightmares. I really hope the WT guitars are a lot better. Think i'm just going to hardwire the guitars to get by, really getting tired of the frets dropping.

The one I got with Aerosmith started dropping notes, so I put some paper in the neck which tightened it up a bit and solved that. But now I've got a problem where whammying too hard will drop a note, which is pissing me off a lot, seeing as I whammy every single chance I get.

Yea I have had that happen too. I'm going to try to mod one of my guitars since the blue never works on it anyway.

That is what I'm going to try to do, it seems pretty easy.

It's official. I'm getting one tomorrow.

Thanks for forcing me to spend another 70 bucks. (I knew I shouldn't have bought that new DS)

Using the pedal for overdrive makes the 77 bucks I spent on the Strat worth it. Damn that's a great feature.

You can use a pedal for overdrive on the new Start? I have been DYING for this feature. Now I just need a pedal... I wonder if they're planning an official one. Will any racing pedal work?

Edit: It works with the DRUM PEDAL!? That's so fucking awesome. Sucks that my guitar will basically be "wired to the floor" now but whatever. I have been dying for this feature.

My Les Paul has been dropping notes too. Oddly enough the sturdiest guitars of mine have been the Guitar Hero 1 SG and the Guitar Hero 2 Xplorer, both launch guitars for their respective platforms.

EDIT: Woot, won a free track from Stride!

since it can't be said enough: bytearts bytearts bytearts. Best money I've ever spent, and I highly recommend it to everyone. You need only a smidgen of soldering experience, and even then it's not really necessary.

Rob The Prez-O-Dent might be the worst song I've ever heard.

jesus fucking christ harmonix.

It is easily the greatest song on the disc.

"It's noootttthingggg symbollliiiccccc, like burrrnnnnninnnngggg the fllllaaaagggggg"

It reminds me a little of Mr. Bungle, which is ALWAYS a good thing.

disappointing. :\

Rob the Pres-o-dent is really mediocre. So is that Libyans song that you sometimes hear when tooling around RB2's main menu. And of course there's Visions, but since I've trained myself to view that as a joke song, I laugh when I hear the screaming and the Red-Octane-guitar-strum-sounding-esque drum sections. That is, in the first 30 seconds of the song before I fail out.

On the other hand, Night Lies by Bang Camaro imo is in the top 5 best songs in this game alongside Almost Easy, Shooting Star, Living on a Prayer, and Peace Sells. Seriously. And I'm not that big a fan of Bang Camaro.

These are all good songs either because: a.) they're good songs. or b.) they have good charts.

wat

also, what the fuck @ costanza's taste. Really, Feel the Pain, Go Your Own Way, Lazy Eye, Master Exploder... all bad? Really now. And you think So Whatchya Want is good? And Lump, Shackler's Revenge, Disturbed, and LINKIN PARK WAIT WHY THE SHIT IS THIS UNDER GOOD

seriously, one step closer is "good," yet Go Your Own Way is bad? Say it ain't so, dude. Seriously, I know you have odd taste, but this is reprehensible.

Explain how it isn't the best bonus track in both Rock Band games.
Night Lies is the best bonus track in the Rock Band games, followed distantly by Seven (I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for that).

If Less Talk More Rokk (GH Remix edition or whatever) was in RB, though, that'd win. I hope it's in the Freezepop pack.

I like Bang Camaro, but all their songs seriously just gel in to one. And I do kinda like Seven, to be honest. Just not on fucking guitar...

Rob The Prez-O-Dent is the high point though. It's so fucking awesome. UH HUH HUH.
