I'd like to see songs from these bands:

In Flames
Soilwork
Amon Amarth
Trivium
Nightwish
Slipknot
Volbeat
Rammstein
Opeth

Ok basically I want more european metal except for two of those. :lol
So, what you want is a Roadrunner Pack 2.
I do, too.

Do we got a gaf group going? I can sing or guitar. XL = Jazzy Jeff v2K

I like 2 of the Offspring songs wtf is wrong with me :(

There are a lot of GAF people playing RB2... we just don't meet up often if ever. =\

I've only ever played with Xevron and BBG (my little brother was playing last time).

My GamerTag is Magik Tek if you want to add me.

If any PS3 players have RB1, RB2 (when it comes out), and >25% of the DLC wants to add me, feel free to. PSN ID: TheJer

I have ~60% of the DLC. If you're looking for someone to compare leaderboard scores with, then I'm not your man. I really don't care or strive for high scores or compete. But, it'd be nice to play with some others folks every once in a while. Particularly when RB2 comes out and there are a lot more songs to play.

I'll add you. Vargas is my PSN ID.

speaking of Singles, I think they should make the soundtrack available.

Would? - Alice in Chains
Breath - Pearl Jam
Seasons - Chris Cornell (acoustic only, but dammit it's a great song)
Dyslexic Heart - Paul Westerberg
Battle of Evermore - The Lovemongers (Heart, actually)
Chloe Dancer / Crown of Thorns - Mother Love Bone (how awesome? so awesome.)
Birth Ritual - Soundgarden
State of Love and Trust - Pearl Jam
Overblown - Mudhoney
Waiting for Somebody - Paul Westerberg
May This be Love - Jimi Hendrix (yeah, I know)
Nearly Lost You - Screaming Trees (der)
Drown - Smashing Pumpkins (8:08 of a song that almost broke the Pumpkins up)

I was going to bring that up, such a great soundtrack. However be my guest with Birth Ritual vocals, I'll NEVER touch that

Wanna hear a secret? I downloaded Snow and then deleted it after about....15 attempts in a row to get past the bit where it's red-blue over and over again, about a minute and a half in. It is the only song I haven't beat that I've downloaded, but it's hidden from memory so as not to annoy me.
I can't pass it on guitar either. But just so you know, there are other instruments you can play songs on. And it's fuck-awesome on vocals, and drums aren't too shabby either.

I fucking hate it when people pigeon-hole the game and just stick to one instrument. I've got a guy at work like that. Buys just about all DLC and only plays guitar. He even has the full RB1 bundle, so he's got drums and mic and all that other good shit. I just don't get it.

Perhaps he likes to play guitar

I play a lot on drums. Not as much, but still enough to have played most the songs. But I deleted it because I couldn't stand having "240 out of 241 complete", or whatever it was when I picked guitar. I nearly deleted Sleepwalker for similar reasons until I beat it.

I can totally understand preferring one instrument or another. But disregarding 2/3 of the product is absurd to me. I'm not saying Dave is that guy (as he admits he plays drums), but dude I work with really only plays guitar, and will maybe jump on drums once or twice if he shows up to club meetings.

Of course, I'm the guy who tries to watch every single featurette and commentary for every dvd I buy, and try to complete games to their fullest capacity (or at least get all the achievements). It gets me more bang for my buck.

I bet the majority of people in this thread haven't played 2/3 the bass tracks they have access to. Or sang most of their DLC (Archie excluded).

... and doesn't like Drums and Mic?

I mean, just because he has it doesn't mean he has to love or even like it. Personally, I play everything but there are people I know who won't touch the mic, guitar or drums. It's just not their thing.

Oh come on!
I've only used the guitar in both Rock Bands! :D
Freaking love the game..though I got the whole bundle with the first game, new for $92...
Made a deal with a friend on which if he got me a wireless guitar, I'd gave him all the instruments (drums, wired guitar, mic)..and he did!

Great game..play online with that friend while he uses the drums, I use the guitar..
I'm not disregarding, or gimping my experience..but is just my preference..heck, that friend of mine just wanted the drums.

I used to play drums all the time.

Lost interest.
Still will if the track looks fun, but I am mostly a guitar guy now.

My problem is hard is far, far too easy on drums (for the most part) but when you get to...say, tier 4 or 5 or so on drums I'm just not good enough to enjoy it.

It's all about getting a mic stand and doing vocals and guitar/bass simultaneously!

I haven't done it in a while though, as I usually leave my mic stand at work for the weekly club thing. But doing that is so amazingly badass! I'm sure my wife thinks I look the fool, but I don't give a fuck.

*Also, I play lots of the bass tracks. So there, Dave!

I guess i'm that guy then, I would like to play drums but I have yet to ever have a working set. RMA'ing another set in hopes this next one actually works. I have a lot of fun on guitar though, i'm really trying to break into the top 500 for the solo career leaderboards.

Im starting to get into vocals for some reason. Im trying to get the vocal achievements and I find that I can actually sing a majority of songs on hard and alot of the songs that are on the RB2 disc are very fun to sing.

Dave is right though I own all the dlc and probably have only sung maybe 20% of the songs in the game.

I just have my moods though. there are days were I wanna be able to play expert guitar, days were I think RB should be renamed to Drum Hero and days were I think RB should try to compete with singstar.

The 360 just isn't powerful enough to be able to process my voice and realise I'm actually singing really well, so I just tend to stick to stuff I do well on :D

I find that most of my friends are scared to sing. only my girl friends will pick up the mic. I say fuck it and show off my skillz. I even made up my own freestyle to the beastie boys song since it's all talkies.

Well I wouldn't know anything about that since I play Expert all day every day
Forever.

I meant "once I get to tier 4-5 on expert". I never play hard any more, I'm too gangsta.

And it's probably more like tier 6 or 7. Whatever Dead On Arrival is.

Singing in Rock Band is all about learning to work with your own voice. People always say "damn, I can't sing because I suck at singing!" Well, your voice may sound like shit, but Rock Band doesn't care how squeaky or cracked your voice is, so long as your hitting the same note. Once you learn to take advantage of the nice octave system Rock Band provides you, singing becomes so much easier.

I used to fail every song I didn't know on Medium, now I can pass anything thrown at me while actually singing (no humming aloud in my Rock Band sessions), provided I've heard the song at least once.

One thing I hate about VOX is that it is incredibly hard to 5 star stuff since it's so easy to break your multiplier. GHWT has it where you keep it if you have a Strong phrase or higher. I hope Harmonix copies that for RB3.

I've still never seen a working drum set, let alone gotten one myself.

I used to be a plastic guitarist. It was my main reason for getting the game in the first place.

I barely touched vocals and drums for the first several months.

Then I pulled out the drum set and realized I could play on Expert. And I realized that drums was fricken amazing (it was just boring on medium/hard).

I don't have a problem with expert vocals and I think I could pass most songs in the game. I just don't ever do VOX. I like the instruments more right now for some reason.

So, I was a plastic guitarist for 6+ months, but now i'm a plastic drummer. Drums are fricken awesome. Go drummers!!

And Harmonix had the audacity to rate it's guitar difficulty a 5, not a 6 (or whatever devil heads are). I know it has some easy parts, but the hard parts are HARD! But I think you shouldn't give up on the song, it is possible. I'm living proof.

Though there are now 4 Rockband DLC's where I must use star power to survive.
Constant Motion
AfterLife
Bad Omen
Devil's Island

Of course I've only played the Megadeth ones like 3 times, but the solos don't look like something I'll be able to nail at my current skill level.

I probably could beat it if I really, really tried, but the fact is it's such a boring, unenjoyable song anyway. If I do the first verse, I've done all of it. It's just a matter of endurance.

Those are the exact songs I need star power for too. I can usually get through Visions without needing it but I usually try to save some just in case.
