That is kinda fun seeing your guys as possible statues. I don't think I'll ever buy one though.

My Band

I need to fix the singer's shoes and pants a bit.

Maybe it's just super slow, but band member pictures aren't working. I've done two and after all this time nothing has shown up.

it's godawful slow. I left one tab open to watch the bar, it's moved to maybe a quarter after an hour.

On top of it being slow, it's not even seeing my third band member that's been in since the beginning. I just created someone a few minutes ago and it see's him, but not the original guy.

We need this desperately. King Crimson for the win.

Larks' Tongues in Aspic Pt.II would be my choice, but with stuff recorded that long ago I don't hold out much hope of them having good masters to do what they need to do for some of the older songs. I could live with April Wine's cover of 21st Century Schiziod Man though.

You don't have to leave the tab open, it'll make it while you do other things on the site.

I know, that's what I said, I left it open on that one so I could watch the progress.

WTF is up with Aqualung?

Who decided it was a good song, and who decided it should be in RB2? I had to play that 7 minute piece of trash 3 times yesterday, it's starting to rival Kool Thing as my most hated song in a rhythm game ever.

Wow, I can't believe anyone could compare Aqualung to the trash that is Kool Thing.

I'll admit it's more pleasant to listen to than Kool Thing. But the repetition is just as bad due to the length of the song.

That's because unlike many morans in this thread, you , costanza, actually have taste. It's totally the best apatow movie. Arguing over wether FSM is funny/good compared to the other 2 films is kind of like arguing over which van damme movie to watch , they are all so similar that saying one is bad means you dislike all of them. :p
:lol

On the PS3 it gives a time error and says it's not possible to link yet. So I figure if you've EVER linked with RB1 and have that GamerTag/PSN ID upload a score in RB2, it's auto-linked.

For 360 there's a thing on your profile that says you haven't linked your profile yet, even though it had my RB1 info. I clicked it and BLAM. JACK!!! KATE!!! SAWYER!!!

ME!!!!!!!!!!!

woohoo! finally I beat Visions on Expert Drums!!! Horrible song and horrible score, but I cleared it.......yesterday I beat Panic Attack...so im ready for the Endless Setlist!

A little question, if I fail a song (its 50/50 possible that I fail visions)...do I get kicked off the Endless Setlist? or do I have the chance to retry that song?

I want to know because i want to do it on expert without breaks....i have plans of doing an event here in Ecuador so people come here and support me. I know im nothing in the RB Community....but im a hero in my little country, lol.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Well I can't seem to get a picture out of this RB website. It's been sitting on the progress indicator for 15 mins and has moved a couple of millimeters....

You can fail during the Endless Setlist as many times as you need and be ok. But if you fail (or pause) you lose the Steel Bladder achievement.

Do not trust the progress bar, all it does is lie to you. Just leave the page and check back later hoping for the best.

Just got done playing some Guitar Hero 3 with some friends and...
... I realized how terrible of a party game Rock Band really is.

I could play on expert whilst someone else played on easy and THE TRACKS MOVED AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. It was amazing. And I was able to have fun whilst playing with others who weren't expert players.

Guitar Hero: World Tour is going to be my party game just because of this. And Rock Band will be the game I play by myself.

So frustrating, because Rock Band would be a fricken awesome party game if THE TRACKS MOVED AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. It's so close to being amazing. Why does it have to have one little flaw that completely damages the entire local multi-player and renders it "unplayable".

And you couldn't be any farther from the truth.

I still don't understand why they don't do it either. It'd obviously be easier to sync the charts to the music if they are all scrolling at the same speed, but it's still no excuse. I basically force my friends to play on Hard now (by heckling them if they choose less than Hard) but it sucks because they fail quite a lot (especially the drummer).

Darn!, love the new site..
Just a question..I suppose it's normal for the 'Bandmates' to appear as Sold Out in the Checkout process, right?

I don't get the complaining about the track speeds. Am I missing something here? Harder tracks get more notes more often, so they'll seem "faster"....easier tracks get less notes less frequently so they'll seem "slower", regardless of the actual velocity that the notes move at.

If you're going to browbeat your friends into a more difficult setting, then just turn on No-Fail mode.

I've spent 9 years playing games with scrolling notes. I know when I see the track slow down to adjust for lower-level players.

At first most people can't comprehend it. Spacing between the notes? You're speeding up the song! But then you have to realize, it's ALL relative.

I dont really get it. I tried the hyperspeed or ludicrous speed or whatever it's called in RB2. It's just too fast, I couldn't imagine playing something like Battery at the speed. It would be a lot better if you could adjust it.

Nah we tried that. It was even less fun having the rock meter in the red the entire song than it was having the 2 people that could handle Hard/Expert saving the other band members. Plus, playing above your weight is the best way to improve IME.

I fucking wish.

Early Beatmania and DDR games let you choose speeds, even individually applying acceleration or deceleration on top of that multiplier.

Later Beatmania games (And DJ Max Portable) let you adjust it DURING the song.

Seriously, ITG/DDR/Beatmania modifiers put Rock Band to shame. It's one area Konami does get right.

ITG went a little overboard, but you get the idea.

Messing around with how it displays is fine. It notifies you when a certain modifier (Like no double-steps) will invalidate the score.

It usually makes the game more difficult, but it adds variety so you can play easy shit and still have a challenge.

OR what some people do is use Random (Mixes up columns) or S-Random (Mixes up every note) to get through tough parts in Beatmania.
