OK so I'm kind of in a drum predicament. All throughout RB1 I played drums on the normal setting (not lefty flip), however, I am left handed. Playing today I realized I just can't keep up with the speed on some songs as my right arm gets tired pretty fast. So I decided to turn on lefty-flip and head into the drum trainer. It's very weird to play like that but I know my left arm is much more suitable for all the hits on the blue pad, rather than my right arm getting tired from all of the ones on the yellow pad. Should I keep at this, it still feels strange to play on the other side of the kit and I'm not used to the fast hits either but I assume this will help me in the long run, right?

I play on Hard btw so this will most likely help for Expert play.

I'm quoting this because I didn't really get any input, aside from Pedro. But anyways, I was just playing and I decided to do the same song first on lefty flip than again on righty. Of course I dominated on righty and lefty had me missing a ton of easy notes. Just wondering, should I keep at this on lefty or no?

For all the lefties out there, do you play lefty-flip on drums? I'm not sure where to go from here.

Fortunately I learned my lesson and bought it on VHS and later DVD.

Lost Highway doesn't need defending, but I'm with you. It's not at the top of my favourite Lynch films but it's still awesome.

I do find it interesting that while Lost Highway didn't do as well upon release Mulholland Drive was a very similar film in many ways, but had people lining up to chug Lynch's hog over how great it was. Frankly I prefer Lost Highway although Mulholland Drive was good. Maybe people just need gratuitous lesbian scenes.

I still need to eventually get around to watching Inland Empire. I mean, it's on instant watch on Netflix even. I could watch right now if I felt like it. But no, I'm not doing it.

Actually, I'm going to go watch Come Drink With Me... I've been meaning to do so for a number of days already.

Oh, and the Man From Another Place totally fucking lied to me. Teaberry gum still isn't popular. Fucking backwards-talking bastard. I'll show him wrapped in plastic!

Inland Empire I just couldn't really enjoy. It's kinda of like...by it's very design I find it hard to watch. Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive I thought were fantastically shot and great looking films, and I find myself unable to enjoy Inland because of the way it's filmed. And it's even more abstract sense of plot.

Mulholland did have tits, but I think it also had a plot that people could kinda get in to before it twisted it on it's head and messed everything around. Lost Highway was always a movie you had to pay more attention to. Which I'd rather watch is based more on mood than opinion.

Unfortunately, it sounds like Harmonix has remixed or rerecorded a lot of the vocals. The original album's vocal tracks were multi-layered, and effected. The tracks here sound almost dry and empty by comparison.

Yeah, it definintely is. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Harmonix has done this. Luckily it seems to only be really noticeable on certain tracks.

A few small things. The zipper and giggle at the beginning of "She Goes Down" isn't there, which is too bad. However, it doesn't seem like there are any censored lines in any songs (surprising, considering Sir Psycho Sexy). A number of tracks seem to be mis-tiered, most glaringly is Rattlesnake Shake, which is tier 4 (3 dots) but feels more like tier 5 in most of the song, and 6 in the solo.

I can't wait for some kid to be singing She Goes Down around mom. "Rated T for Teen"


oh, and the solos might be some of the most fun in the game. They really feel like the metal versions of the Grateful Dead solos. Flow very well, melodic, and a great balance between runs and sustained notes.

I'm lefty but have never really used the lefty flip on drums. But I don't really find my right arm getting tired keeping time, either. In fact I think I'd be completely screwed on those snare rolls (more than I already am, anyway) if I wasn't using my left arm for them.

In contrast, I started the original Guitar Hero playing righty, and maxed out somewhere in Medium. Then I switched to lefty, and after about twenty minutes of adjustment I was ten times better at the game.

I definitely know what you mean though. Most of Motley Crue's lyrics are uninspiring and downright dumb. Every so often, however, they seem to get it right.

I've played lefty from the beginning. I just can't strum fast enough with my right hand to hang at expert level. Also, my right hand is used to pressing buttons all the time, so it's fairly dexterous, at least in that regard.
