The 20 "free" songs will be out November 18th. I'm calling it now. It'll be just early enough to screw over European buyers, but close enough for them to be able to use the excuse of localised content to justify why you've not heard of the random German band in the pack.

That is also the day Pavement's reissue of Brighten The Corners is out, and I can't think of anything better to release than a pack of some bands I don't know to make that bittersweet.

I don't expect anything "big". Bigger than usual anyway. Putting out a bunch of shit when GH comes out would just seem kinda desperate, and unclassy.

Yeah. Rock Band 2 has a code in it that lets you download 20 "free" songs. Seeing as they sell the game as having 100 tracks it's not really free so much as living up to obligations, but people love a bargain!

Code that comes with RB2 will let you redeem a 20 song pack. DLC should work cross-game, but there's no way to get it without buying RB2 (no moral way anyway!)

Yeah, amazing job on the drums! Looking forward to some more, man. My plasti-guitars are (were) annoying me though. Dicked around with the LP I was using for 5 minutes after you left to get my orange working correctly again. She's good now. Bad songs for it to cut out on though (Peace Sells and Master Exploder). I wasn't going to, since I already have 5 guitars but I guess I'll grab the World Tour one and hope the new connector makes 'em more reliable.
