Not sure if this was posted, but big things for Wii RB2:

It will follow the same weekly release pattern as seen on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. After the Wii version launches, the releases will be the same on all three platforms. The only difference is Wii owners can’t buy song bundles.

Wait, no song bundles?! Why not? Does that mean we’re not getting full albums, too?

Slow down, buddy. The reason Harmonix isn’t producing song packs for “Rock Band 2″ on Wii is because of how Nintendo handles content on their store. Nintendo doesn’t allow multiple versions of the same content, so everything will be sold as singles — including full albums. Essentially, Wii owners will miss out on bundled song savings. This could change if Nintendo’s policy does.

Okay, phew. That makes me feel better. But how am I going to buy the songs?

You’ll purchase them through the in-game store featured in the other versions of “Rock Band 2.” The only difference is that Nintendo won’t allow Harmonix to funnel Wii Points transactions through “Rock Band 2.” You need to purchase Wii Points outside of “Rock Band 2″ first. The in-game store will recognize those.

Let’s say I decide to start stocking up on all these downloadable songs. My Wii is going to fill up pretty fast. What do I do when the internal memory is full?

Good question. “Rock Band 2″ on Wii supports streaming from an SD card. When a Wii’s internal memory fills up, “Rock Band 2″ looks for a SD card to download songs to. All of the songs can stream off the card, so there’s no fretting over what is or isn’t actually filling your Wii’s limited memory space.

Wii version sounds solid. Maybe we won't have to listen to bitter Wii owners go "rock band sucks guitar hero ftw!" any more.

In fact, they get the biggest advantage of getting songs first in any given week!
 
Well, Harmonix confirmed it. And apparently because showing off the sunburst in the magazine and having a sunburst guitar on the front of the box (Regardless of it being real or not) means nothing, I guess I have to get creative on Sunday.

The bundled guitar looks like a Frankenstein melding of the old and new.
 
I thought it was going to be a sunburst guitar as well, that sucks, the wooden frets don't look that good with the black and white imo..

I hope the GH guitar is the same color they been advertising cause it looks cool

that is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen.
 
There are rumors that the shaky arrow glitch for PS3 vocals still exists in RB2. I hope that isn't true. You think they would fix that crap if they are going to release a "new game"

Hopefully this isn't true.
 
So the bundled guitar still have ALL the same features (stiffer strum bar, auto-calibration etc.) as the sunburst ones, then??

They are exactly the same except for the look?

I'd never attack the value of the disc! But releasing the bundle a month after the game? Raping the hardcore that want new instruments. Puting an ugly guitar in the bundle? Raping the vain. 360 exclusive for a month? Raping the Cell, and it's followers. You don't support rape, do you?

yes it is.

it's actually making me reconsider the bundle. I'm getting the World Tour Bundle anyways.
I'm glad I didn't open the box and see that thing.

As long as it has all the same features, I'll probably get it. I want the new drum kit, I may as well pay the little extra for the guitar as well. I prefer the strat over other guitars, so it'd be nice to have a strat with the new features.

This is true.. is awesome value and the game is good. Although I do have to agree on some of the points, of course I am getting the GH Bundle so.. I am set on new instruments

I'm not that bothered about RB2. There's no jealousy. I still have gold stars next to my song titles, who's laughing now?!
 
ya know, i could pretty it up with a finger nail polish thing on the pic guard and make some decals for the rest of the body and it would look decent and wouldn't cost anything.

sucks that i would have to do work on something that should already look sweet, though.

Yeah, I'd be annoyed too. It reminds me of those GH3 bundles that had Xplorers in them.

At least you get the new neck and the auto-calibration.
