TP is more for emergencies, really only learn like 7 or 8 techs overall. Dispelga was nice in some encounters, but that was the only thing I ever used besides Libra. Never bothered with summons.

Hmm...Yea I'm just a little confused about whether I want Lightning to be my main with commando...I haven't fucked around with the game enough obviously but at this point sentinel is nothing to me and even trying to play around with the different paradigms, I got a little pissed at level of control. There's the one paradigm, Tri Delta, which I like using because its good for staggering but whenever its on, Lightning becomes a little pussy and her only attack is Thunder which does no damage so I end up just changing back to Relentless Attack and then whenever I'm low on health, I just switch to healing class.

Also, TP...in the beginning, I got TP but its at level 5 for the last 30 minutes...I know its used for techniques but I don't know really at this point where to unlock more techniques.

You only build TP if you use it and need to get back to 5. Summons cost 3 and Libra costs 1. Use Libra though it'll make your life a lot easier. Summons are good if you have two dead party members because you use them and then everyone gets back to full health once they leave. Very nice way to come back from the brink. They don't do enough damage though I feel. You gain more TP (again only when you need it) with 5 star rankings on fights. It builds much much slower if you do poorly on fights.

I still fucking wish I could use Vanille's summon without having her as my lead role. That's total bullshit.
 
I love how if you use Libra ONCE on an enemy, every time you encounter it the party adjusts accordingly.

Also, my plan to play more XIII tomorrow failed. Ah well, work is money.
 
I love how in chapter 6 the game sucks and then vanilla sky does something in chapter 8 and the game still sucks, oh and remember in chapter 11 when the game was still ass but you leveled up your crystals n shit.

That's the whole point of the ability. It's way faster than fighting until you know what works.

btw real question: can you skip cutscenes and movies? the battle system sounds pretty sweet so i might grab it when it is $20

Doesn't the hassle of save files not make it pointless? Unless you're using one purely as an extender (I see you on Media Center, bro!)
 
360 gets gamer pics for certain achievements.... :(

Done farming, tier 3 weapons all leveled, accessories all level'd. Back to the tough marks.
