So if what Dave said is true and the myth is that achievements are for showing off and the truth is that they're for playing a game in a different way than you normally would then why do people favor achievements over trophies? Since they come from doing exactly the same thing shouldn't you be happy that you're "playing the game in a different way" and not care what system it's for? That mentality still doesn't explain playing games that you hate just for achievements.

Because 360 owners have been building their collection of achievements since 2005 and trophies weren't really commonplace until last year.

Because the consistent Gamescore is, in itself, an achievement and motivator. The trophy system isn't as good.

That game's multiplayer (or the demo at least) feels like shovelware. MW2 has great core gameplay, it's just all the extra bullshit that ruins it. BC2 just feels like a piece of shit.

Didn't really have anyone to play with, and when I had the game whenever I wanted to play some multi the servers were down.

Was a neat game though, will probably pick it up when it's cheaper and the server issues get dealt with.

I love how there's a ton of stuff to do after you beat it. This is the first game I actually want to get a platinum on.
