Archie won't run an IM client because it slows his computer down too much. I wouldn't be sure he could cope with mIRC.

minimized IRC + NNscript will not interfere with game performance at all. I don't know how anyone could look at default IRC though it's so damn ugly. NNscript makes it look pretty.

Watch the first season at least. Maybe 2-3. Don't expect much after that, although it doesn't really get bad till seasons 5-6, and 7 wasn't too bad.

Like Dave said the first couple are good. Then there's like a totally shit season and then a decent one and then a shitty one and another decent one or something. Just stop after 2. 3 if you really like it.

24 is great up through season 5

season 6 is fun because its basically Metal Gear Solid: The TV Show

season 7 starts off great, totally loses steam halfway through and never really recovers

season 8 has been slow with some awful subplots, but still watchable

I'm very much a collector, so Pokémon games have that going for me. What kills it is I can't collect every Pokémon in one generation without needing some haxx0ring.

You technically can now. Everything from Ruby and Sapphire (that's including FireRed and LeafGreen) and up can be traded into HeartGold or SoulSilver.

I picked up HeartGold today, and have about 5 hours in it so far. I'm in nostalgia heaven. It also helps that it was the best generation.
