Rock Band is on the verge of winning the mindshare war. Lady Gaga will most certainly put them over the top. RIP Guitar Hero.

Got the new Game Informer in the mail today and it's got a reader survey about rhythm games. Some interesting numbers.

Do you buy downloadable music for your games?
38.9% - Yes
61.1% - No

I don't even know what to say about that. I can't fathom playing RB2 with just the on-disc songs for prolonged periods of time. Which brings me to the next question..

How often do you currently play?
29.1% - Not often
26.4% Couple times a month
21% - Couple times a week
11.2% - I don't play music games anymore
6.5% - I've never played music games
5.8% - Every day

Goes to show that these games really are "party games" to the mass public.

What is your favorite music instrument franchise?
46.4% - Guitar Hero
43% - Rock band
5.4% - DJ Hero
2% - Karaoke Revolution
1.4% - SingStar
1.1% - Rock Revolution
0.7% - Lips

I can understand GH still being on top somewhat (Go Dave!). However, even 1 person saying that Rock Revolution is their favorite?!

There were a couple other questions, but those were the three "stand-out" ones for me.

Duck mentioned this to me, isn't there a question about how many "band games" you buy, or something like that? Can you post that if it exists?

Have you bought a band-specific music game?
63.5% - No
36.5% - Yes

Also, this one is loltastic.

More people said they like to just watch someone else play (10.2%) versus those who like to play bass (7.1%).

Activision can barely pump out three songs a week, and their last album was some Oasis shit. What makes you think they will be able to deliver a full album from the hottest act in music today? :lol

Oh man, I wanna sing Speechless :(

It's amazing how many people have Rock Band parties without any DLC.

Alright. I think I may be a little overloaded. I've got:

- Magician, Home, and Just Hang On in testing/fixing stages
- Motorcide in Peer Review
- Simple Man waiting on legal
- Thunderclap and Molten Death in development
- Blinded waiting on materials
- three new artists I'm making deals with

Plus Voodoo Pharmacology and 2nd Thought both want me to take on a second song at some point.

....I have been or will be working on more songs than GH gets in a month. I'm slower, sure, but still.

I host them on occasion, although my friends would rather play singstar(I got all the ps2 discs supercheap so I have a robust collection). I have about 700 RB songs and a friend of a friend who has it for his non interweb connected xbox had his mind fucking blown when he saw my DLC collection, he apparently didn't know there was that much available :lol

I sure hope caseys back, my prediction something will happen to shaw and fuck over sarahs transfer and require casey to come back.

That's great because Dave hasn't seen it yet.

You know, there's people in the Pacific time zone who haven't seen the new Lost. Like me.

(the episode doesn't even air for another 30min)

Thanks for spoiling!

All I have to say is..."lol poll from people who still subscribe to or read physical media magazines" (I guess that would include you...sorry)

I bought a Game Informer sub to fill the void EGM's cancellation created. Can't say I regretted the decision, though scans popping up a week before I get issues makes me not want to resubscribe.

Behold the power (and shady legality) of the internet. I hear its the future.

Edit: Also, I have yet to get a papercut using the internet...those sharp edged magazines can go fuck right off.

Drowning Pool-Bodies
All That Remains-Days Without

Are up from RBN. Not that anyone plays anymore :p

...or not. They're approved but links don't seem to be working yet.

Gladius -> Helter-skelter -> Omega Weapon

Her's is the only one called Omega btw. Vanille's is called Nirvana so I'm gonna avoid it forever since they're a terrible band.

How much better is it going the Gladius route than just upgrading the Axis blade?

They're all called Omega weapon dude.

And the Gladius gives her pretty much only strength and no magic. Which is fine if that's how you play her. But there's also no bonus to that weapon.

I thought you meant only one of Light's weapons was called that I re-read it and you mean only her characters weapons. I only use Light, Fang and Hope so I don't have that problem.

http://ff-13.info/vanille-rod/

They all have different names. All of Lightning's final weapons are Omega but every character's has a different name. Snow's is the best, Save the Queen ftw

Axis is slightly faster but Gladius is much stronger. I prefer big numbers so I went with Gladius. I'm hitting some stuff for 99999 :lol

btw there's an item (I forget the name) that gives you auto-Haste so I'd take that with a Gladius over an Axis Blade any day.

For those have you that have played Batman: AA...I have a question. I think I'm almost at the end of the game
where you're supposed to go to the party
and I'm wondering if I can go back and get all the Riddle Challenges I'm missing (40) if I beat the game. Can you do that after you beat the game or do you have to get them all before beating it? I don't know if I worded everything correctly.

Here's how it goes, Bird, the Blazefire gives even magic and strength boosts, they land a little above average in both categories. The Axisblade has the lowest stats in either category but the ATB rate gets faster each time you break it with a catalyst. The Edged Carbine gives a huge magic boost but almost no strength. The Lifesaber is balanced but lower than the Blazefire because it also gives you Improved Raise at every increase. The Gladius is all strength and almost no magic making it the opposite of the Edged. The Organyx towers over everything in strength and magic but it seriously slows down your ATB gauge. You pretty much have to equip accessories to counter this and still have a usable weapon. The Hauteclaire is almost as powerful in strength and magic as the Organyx but it has Stagger Lock, meaning it doesn't help out a chain gauge at all. The Lionheart has balanced stats lower than the average but it has quick stagger attributes added to it.

Cork where did you get the Trap needed to make Omega? Ideally I need three of them, without paying 2 million each for them, and I can't really kill those giants yet.

I'm almost positive you can.
