I can't tell you how many times I've gone to a concert intending to wear earplugs and then just forget about them. I've literally had some in my pocket and forgot to put them in. Of course now I'm practically deaf...considering my livelihood is based around listening to music...

I never blare headphones though...I swear the kids listening to ipods on the bus where I can hear it out of their earbuds clear as day are actually going to die of sound over exposure.
 
I wanna thank Shag, Charron and Bounch for coming. It was a great fucking weekend. Exhausting but truly fucking awesome.

Especially Shag because he bought my ticket and paid a shit load for parking and all kinds of shit. He went above and beyond and I seriously appreciate it. Thanks a ton.

Sounds like an awesome time. I saw a bit ago on twitter that Wil Wheaton was happy that some random group of folks got through GGaHT on the stage there at PAX. It wasn't by chance you all was it? That would be awesome! :)

OK more stick questions, I have this Hori and I pretty much hate the buttons with all of my being. They feel like they are grinding the sides when pressed, unless pushed straight down, so they pretty much suck for tapping. I'm really considering buying a TE this before that sale is up tonight. The buttons on the TE, are they like the arcade? Like really springey? Do they need to be pushed in as far as the Hori ones? Basically does the stick feel exactly like the old arcade machines (minus the Octo gate of course) Basically the only thing the Hori does well is the stick itself, I like the resistance quite a bit, but I assume the TE is better in that regard too.
 
What the fuck, they put Maylene on RBN before He is Legend? I SUPPOSE it's somewhere in the same continent of genre but talk about picking garbage instead of gold. bah. maybe I should listen to it first... ;)

He Is Legend only has one great album, Maylene are pretty awesome though. It saddens me how shitty He is Legend has gotten. What song is it on RB of Maylene though? Hopefully it's waiting on my deathbed.

I used the TE sticks today, I hate them. I can't use the stick for shit it's like too short and felt too loose. I couldn't use a charge character for shit and then I was thinking about the stick so I was always 2 seconds behind everything I did. I need a fight pad but I want it to have 8 buttons like the sticks. I need a best of both worlds type of thing. I love the fact that you can have all 6 buttons and then a separate button assigned as all three punches and all three kicks. Is there anything like that? A fight pad with 8 buttons in a row? I can't use the triggers to save my life.

I remember when I first heard Suck out the poison, I was all like 'omg gay they jumped shark wtf this is dumb'
then I actually listened to it. and it's fucking awesome as shit. the newest one is great too, not AS good as the previous two but still fucking great. It's basically a mix of the two styles.

my point being: you probably didn't actually listen to suck out the poison*



*this is of course based on the assumption that you're considering I am hollywood to be the 'only' good one.

Your assumption is correct, I have suck out the poison and I've heard it about 4 times. It's his voice man, it changed too much, and I hate it. I also have the new one and favor it to Suck out the Poison.

October how long did you use it though? It takes a good couple hours to get adapted to it IMO. I think sticks are somewhat unessecary fighting games like Tekken though, I've always had trouble throwing a hadouken like 3-4 times in row accurately on a Dpad, with sticks I can throw them every time. The only thing I like about sticks for Tekken is the buttons because I usually push the face buttons like they are pad buttons for that game. Point is, I think you would probably like it more if you had some time to adapt to it rather than a quick few rounds on a show floor. Not to mention theres added pressure when people are watching you as opposed to playing in your living room against the CPU to get better aquainted with the stick.

No fight pads exist with 4 button rows, the fightpads have x3 punch/kicks on the corners which aren't that hard to get used to.
