Watching Signs in the dark all alone is creepy.

Also, if anyone wants a Mum - Nightly Cares cd that is sealed, let me know. Found it while I was cleaning and don't remember why I bought it as I've never heard of the band.

Less movie watching and more cleaning.

:lol

Regarding Signs, the only part I found creepy is when Gibson goes to the little girl's room at night and he peeks out the window to see the alien standing on top of the roof. That's the only part that creeped me out.

This year's Bonnaroo pack is going to suck too. Dave Matthews Band, Kings of Leon, and Weezer are headlining BUT Jeff Beck and The Flaming Lips are there too so maybe something good will come from that.

I'm done, more or less. I would have a new computer desk but all this rain makes it hard to pick things up from people locally.

That's the part I was at. The other part is when the home video shows an alien hiding behind the bush. The premise is utterly dumb (let's not argue about the aliens who are allergic to water, m'kay?) but man it's shot well. The use of the score (or lack thereof) is also really well done to set the mood.

So Dropkick, Reel Big Fish, Anti-Flag, Sum 41(Chuck-era anyways), iwrestledabearonce, FUCK THEM. We need Alkaline Trio in this game.

CSB, it is mostly shit, but to call Alkaline Trio music over most of those bands makes me angry at you.

What's wrong with old AFI...? It's a million times better than their new 'music'

Also, Anti-Flag would be fine as long as it's something off A New Kind Of Army.

Yeah, but that isn't hard to be. Also, Anti-Flag's new album was great, though i do love New Kind. Im glad we agree somewhere

P.S. Wouldn't you go anyways just to try to get some emo/scene ass. Its like a breeding ground for your fetish dude!

Alkaline Trio is awesome. Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised since you like iwrestledabearonce

Alkaline Trio fucking sucks, they have 2 decent albums, but everything after Good Mourning is trash. I can't stand any of that emo-ish shit from yesteryears. I'm surprised they are still a band honestly. Most of their fans have moved on to the next trend.

Last time I went I was with my (at the time) gf and I had to sit through Paramore, Boys Like Cock, Fall Out Boy and a whole bunch of other garbage. That kind of killed any chance of me wanting to go to Warped again. Protest the Hero was amazing though, as always.

ps the fat chick to hot chick ratio was like 6:1

Obviously. When I say Alkaline Trio I'm clearly talking about when they were good. I stopped following them when I was in HS and they've gone downhill every album since.

I went last year, im aware. Its at a theme park close by, its a fun way to waste a summer day with a bunch of friends. Then again last year's main stage acts were a godsends to punk/ska fans.

Unbreakable is still the best things he's done. It's a great, different take on the superhero origins movie, and it doesn't fall apart with subsequent watchings the way 6th Sense does.

Ok good, with my hatred confessed, I will say I wouldn't mind a song or two from Good Mourning. I also believe Anti-flag and the Dropkicks would have some worthwhile tracks (A-F also suffers from the same fate of AlkaTrio) I'm really sick of their political bullshit, now that the US is practically becoming a socialist nation what can they possibly do to spread their Liberal agenda to the teens of america? Andrew WK takes the cake for best charting songs all around I'd say, as long as it's off of his debut album. I didn't care much for the Wolf and have not heard his latest.

Bounch, they pretty much peaked at the terror state, the album following that one was ok but the two newer ones are not very good. Their back catalogue is great, if you liked the terror state I suggest checking out their older stuff.

We can all agree Operation Ivy is better than all the "punk" bands on Warped.
Hell yes they are, me and my band cover a few opivy tracks. like 5 or 6, so roughly 1/5 of their repitoire ( I don't count the seedy demos)

Gtfo with Unity though, the least deserving song, just because its accessable doesn't make it a good choice, because anyone that likes opivy would buy any of their songs.

Speaking of OpIvy, Rancid is another one of those punk bands that started good and got so shitty after a few albums. How they have fallen since the epic And Out Come The Wolves.

It was the first one that came to mind.....

:lol its ok I'm not trying to start some shit or anything.

Bird your high. Don't make me spoil Chuck for you (it was awesome BTW, a few great Casey scenes)

Rancids 2000 s/t is one of their best, right after the 93 s/t. I love the one before 2000 too, the name slips me atm. Indestructable and the newest one are godawful though. Seriously listen to 2000 its incredible.

Jesus of Surburbia is going to be awesome to play.

Also, I now have Livin' La Vida Loca stuck in my head...and I don't mind it one bit.

Dude.

DUDE.

Wat?

Unless it's the Samba de Amigo version, in which case; play on, brother. Play on.

Im sad I could not be part of the epic wrestlemania discussion...I had to go far away from internet to not be spoiled, download the torrent....and finally watched this afternoon.

I really love how since WM23 it seems that it have become a standard for Wrestlemania to take place in HUGE stadiums...it really makes it feel like THE greatest event of the year. The whole set was really awesome and I get amazed each year at how the WWE gets it even more spectacular each year.

But...the WRESTLING show underdelivered almost in the same levels as last year, at least now they did the right thing and give the main event slot to HBK and Taker.

Tag Team Match: 2/5 3 minutes?

Triple Threat: 2.2/5 I hope WWE can understand this year that Cody and Ted are complete failures. I never saw anything on them...other than important surnames.

MITB: 3.8/5 Too much people. I think this will be the first time a MITB winner fails to win a championship.

HHH vs Sheamus 2.3/5 I never cared for this feud. A pretty good match for a RAW show.

CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio 2.9/5 Dissapointing.

Edge vs Jericho 3.4/5 Happy that Jericho retained, he has been the MVP of the WWE in the last 2 years....he deserved that.

Cena vs Batista 3.5/5 A lot better than I expected. At this pace Cena will be champion for the 20th time when the year ends....really stupid thing....

Divas Match: Horrid.

Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels 4.9/5 EPIC. Thanks HBK!

In other news...Its almost confirmed I am going to Orlando on May!!!

All Along The Watchtower or bust.
Your taste is shitty. Spanish Castle Magic tells you to fuck off, as does If 6 Was 9 and Wait Until Tomorrow.

Also, because someone mentioned them, Operation Ivy is awesome. Fuck Rancid.

Mail Call...

and I know Jimi will dominate discussion today, but I just have to say that this TISDOSE makes me the happiest SOB out there.

Also, Jimi's going to so kick ass to play....though I want to know how they're going to end Little Wing and One Rainy Wish. I really hope they got a bit more to work with than they did on certain other fade out songs.

AMUSIX, why do artists request that their songs fade out? Sometimes I wonder how certain songs actually end when they fade out especially when it ends in a guitar solo. ;(

Finally finished case 3 in investigation, I feel like I’ve been playing it for 2 weeks :|
Wait till you reach Case 5! It's going to feel like a year! I am not exaggerating. It feels like it's 2 and a half cases put into one. I finished it today, by the way. It was so great. The ending made me smile. ;) Case 4 is so much fan service and a tease, but I know you're probably going to like it especially some of the new characters. Did you notice Phoenix, Maya, and Pearl in the theme park?

It's purely to play with one of the new toys that recorded sound brought. The concept wasn't even around before the 1900's (Gustav Holst was the first to do it, by putting the chorus in another room and having someone slowly close the door) and really didn't see a lot of intentional use until Bill Haley used it in a recording in the early 50's (he was trying to make the music sound like a car driving away). Before that, fading out was really used only to connect side one and side two of a recording, so it would sound like the song was continuous.

But the fact is, intentionally ending a song with a fade, be it Holst, Haley, or whomever, is simply a gimmick, most often to suggest that the song continues to play long after the listener stops hearing it.

Oh, and when its done, there's almost always someone involved, be it the artist or the engineer or the producer or the band's loser friend who won't get the fuck out of the booth, who thinks it's the deepest thing anyone's ever tried.

I know I sort of dove in and out of here a week or two back, but I did want to put my name in the hat for some Rock Band play, if... that's the sort of thing still discussed here. ^_^

I'm not the best player and I don't have a ton of the DLC, but there aren't that many friends around here that keep the plastics next to the woods. :lol I'm pretty much down for whatever, but currently only possess a mic and drums and medium to hardish skill on both. ^_^

I think it's only Bebedora who still plays with any regularity :o
