I've heard it mentioned that it's the band being lazy in the studio. Which is weird because if they even play the song live, they can't fade away like the album version so why bother at all?

Off the top of my head, Metalica's Fade to Black makes sense that it does a fadeout. Even though it cuts short an awesome guitar solo.


Anyways, looking forward to doing some Jimi later today. Never thought we'd get an album after him being in a Guitar Hero.
 
Yes, we definitely need Cereal Killer, but only if it's the full 6 minute version with the jingle parodies, ESPECIALLY the Lucky Charms bit. :lol

That song would be plenty insane on every instrument, too.

So you don't play catchup when coming back to the thread? That was one of the first things I did when I came back from PAX (after sleeping). I was surprised to only have about 1200 posts to go through.

There wasn't much to troll so Archie and Dave were low on material and most of us grew out of wrestling when it turned to shit and never recovered.

Had to stop myself from watching all the videos. Watched If 6 was 9 and Spanish Castle Magic, it looks so good for everything. Can't wait till thursday.

Why wouldn't you do that? If I didn't read the thread, I wouldn't have known about the Skillet track or the awesome GWAR news. I didn't read every post in detail and skipped past most of the wrestling talk, but I still perused the thread to see if there was anything of interest.

Was thinking of doing up a huge post commenting on all the stuff I missed, but thought people would find it off if I was talking about Name's bifurcated penis. Shit!
 
I wonder if they're going to do any more albums between now and GD:RB's release, since that's going to add three to the platform. Maybe the fabled Pantera pack will be based on the greatest hits compilation? I sure hope not, though; it's a pretty lame compilation. Stupid Walmart regulations.

I am confused by this statement. The Pantera album is for Walmart? How does that work? I thought they still wouldn't carry anything with parental advisories.

Side note: It is fucking 40 degrees outside and this mother fucking stupid ass university already turned the air conditioning on. It is fucking ARCTIC in here.

The reason why it's a lame compilation is because they picked songs that wouldn't carry the sticker. It's a repeat of what happened with the GNR greatest hits album. This is the tracklist:

GH5's DLC was awesome for a period. It's been not awesome for awhile now, but I maintain that between October and January it was pretty much awesome, with a few shitty weeks. Since January I've not been motivated to play anything.

I won't buy it until it's $25 new. it's almost there, last week amazon had it for $32.
 
Little Wing is a little shorter in RB than GH. It also has a bunch more chords in RB than GH. Not sure which chart looks better. Will probably just buy again anyway.
