Yo I was wondering if anyone wanted to do a RB podcast for my site. it won't have me in it but I figure it went so well when we did that GAF Cast it shouldn't be hard to get one together.

If you guys wanna do it you it will be featured on theuppercardnetwork.com

It actually doesn't even have to be rb related. a kick ass music podcast or anything you guys can think of.

also sign up for the forums so I can ban u plz.
Grecco, you still want to do Kotickast?

They're all the same game, recycled. Only nerds see a difference between RB1 and RB2.
Only nerds can recognize that Guitar Hero only had guitar portions while Rock Band added drums and vocals. You are totally correct!

Buillshit, if stuff like Demon's Souls can pull in respectable numbers on a single platform then a cross platform release with some decent marketing could easily make it worth their while financially. Superior online means a superior experience out of the box. None of this "hope you have at least 2 extra peripherals around otherwise this is going to be worthless" bollocks they're pulling with the Wii version.

Having less of a barrier of entry as far as peripherals are concerned does not change the fact that MH is a game where the expression "instant gratification" is about as foreign a concept that you can get. I mean, you have something like Phantasy Star Universe on the 360 that did nothing and that's a substantially easier game to get into. The online aspect has never been the issue with the series not taking off; the difficulty curve of starting at the equivalnt of veering into a brick wall at 100 mph with your driving wheel being made of Jello, on the other hand, is the real culprit. Also, there is no way in hell that Demon's Souls surprisingly OK sales were not the result of SDF entitlement issues.

Besides, the HD systems are getting Lost Planet 2 to fill that void.

Some companies should have ponied up some more cash then.

Speaking of companies and cash, I do not like that Ubi Soft is killing paper manuals; it sets a dangerous precedent for people who actually give a crap about their packaging.

People read manuals? Can't even remember the last time I looked at one. Beat Splinter Cell: Conviction last night, really don't know what I think of this one. Still don't like the mark & execute mechanic though, just seems lazy.

I have a RB1 kit (no RB2 kits yet in europe) and the sensitivity is getting a bit low.... was thinking of purchasing the goodwoods but unsure if its a good idea to install it on a RB1 kit. You guys reckon I buy a RB2 kit before getting the goodwoods?

RB2 kits are a bit pricey to deliver to Europe :/

my RB1 drum model is a 20008SL so i guess its an SL kit...
does that make a difference for GoodWoods?
cheapest RB2 model i could find is on ebay here which will cost me (incl. shipping) $140 (£92).
goodwoods (from the official website) will cost me (incl. shippiing) $160 (£105)

I'm asking if the goodwoods would work well on my kit... if they do work well i would be able to save some money without buying a RB2 kit... if there are some quirks or technical difficulties... i would like to know.

any tips and comments would be appreciated.

I read them when I can tell they're more than 4 pages long.

Which, of course, really doesn't apply to Ubi Soft (or Activision) in the first place!

I know it's not your point here, but PSU was a soul-less, hollow, boring, partially complete mess that retained next to none of PSO's 'magic'. Combat was better but nearly everything else they changed was a negative or just poorly done.

I'm mixed on the whole no manual thing. No manual is better than a shitty 4 page black and white pamphlet. Then again it's Ubi, and their track record seems to indicate this is more of a money saving measure rather than a "green initiative."

I'm 99% sure you won't be buying an Assassins Creed or Splinter Cell deluxe edition. Stop bitching, this is a step in the right direction. DD on consoles, $50 price tag plz.

If DD wasn't cheaper than retail then nobody would use it (on consoles)

A small sector of potential buyers like it just for the convenience. These people aren't the majority.

I still think it'll be another decade before we see consoles (and handhelds) adopt something that resembles a largely DD method of distribution and I still think they'd have boxed copies.

I guess you have a point. I've played more Burnout Paradise than I wanted to because I have the game + DLC on my HDD and it's just convenient. Man, that game is pretty bad.

I buy discs because I like to turn around and sell them for half what I paid for them when I'm done and never pay full price for a new game. Plus I like to buy old used games for dirt cheap. I could give a fuck less about a shitty useless book that absolutely no one I've ever met reads. I also don't understand why people care if this is a money saving thing instead of a green initiative thing. Don't you want these companies to make money? Isn't that what all the NPD number bullshit is about? Hoping companies sell a lot and make money? Wouldn't saving money be just as smart?

Don't get me wrong: I'm definitely a big fan of DD, but it's basically the exclusive realm of PC and mobile phones right now. Consoles and handhelds don't have the same issues that those two have when it comes to content delivery, which makes physical copies practical and, more importantly, more desirable.

The PSP Go failed for one very, very important reason: it tried to offer an alterative to a userbase that doesn't buy software to begin with. Sony should have fixed that problem first.

sike hmx hates Dio

I'd rather have this than Heaven and Hell.

Monster Hunter Tri is so awesome I'll be buying it for the second time come Friday, and not just the game but the retarded treasure chest limited edition. Gotta have that shitty toy. Tri and Galaxy 2 makes Wii COTY tbh.

If Zelda Wii comes out this year, I'll wholeheartedly agree with you.

PSPgo failed because the price is shit but I think they released it to test the DD waters and to get gamers and companies more interested in the PSP software and PSN, I think they kinda succeeded in that area.

I doubt Zelda will get released any time soon. I keep forgetting about Another M which is also looking pretty damn good.
