Extremely simple and extremely repetitive. Then again, Dave likes El Scorcho on guitar so anything is possible.

It's not anymore repetitive than most of the high tier Beatles stuff on the same instrument and people generally like those a lot.

I guess I fail to see the simple≠fun in this instance.

but Beatles songs are actually good to make up for the simple-ness. I loved TB:RB even though it was really easy.

I'm just saying that fun is fun. Longview sounds like it'll be fun to play on bass, despite Dave's insistence that it isn't for completely unspecified reasons that I'm sure he won't reveal because it's part of some overlying troll attempt to get someone to lose their shit.

Or something more nefarious.

Speaking of MxPx, Homeward Bound by Tumbledown (Mike Herrara's country side project) is nearly through review. Guitar is plenty tough.

I did that song, pretty fun chart.
Also, if you see anyone with a giant red afro around the college this weekend, don't take pictures, and don't speak of it. Its not me, and definitely has nothing to do with Elite Beat Agents.

It's pretty much that same riff the whole song. E-Pro was pretty fun too, I guess.

It's a great riff, though!

Man, you guys always want your basslines to sound like lead guitar parts.

Playing Longview on real bass is fun. Playing it in a game isn't going to be. You can't just use a "I think it sounds cool!" argument! Otherwise I'd say Weezer songs are fun to play, which is 90% not true.

My Name Is Jonas > GD discography.

I would have to imagine that it's the kind of song that translates pretty well to fake plastic guitar (most bass parts translate pretty well, for that matter). I could definitely see it being charted in a way where it's a lot of fun.

Don't you buy everything anyway, regardless of how shit it is?
Just because I buy everything doesn't mean that there isn't stuff that I prefer over other stuff. I would gladly take any Sepultura pre-Chaos AD, which is when I thought they started to go south. That's still a good album. Roots and Against on the other hand, are pretty blah.

Descend Into The Eternal Pits Of Possession has a Green+Orange bass chord. lol
This was the first and only wUlfe song I bought. Everything he's done (including this) I feel is overcharted to hell and back. I could be wrong and just extremely used to HMX charting, but some of the note placements just seem completely unrealistic and just there for the sake of difficulty.

Oh yea, RegEx is this weekend. I'll probably forget to go bother ya.

I can find anything pretty quickly. Guess that makes me a nerd.

:lol :lol

Not at all.

It took me up until Guitar Hero Metallica to figure out that one of the solos in Orion was actually Cliff's bass and not guitar. Easily one of the best bass players ever tbh.

Okay.....Now I know never to trust your opinion on anything. Ever.

The only fun bit will be the very start when you have to fast strum.

I agree it is easy to find song you are looking for. But when you have a shit ton of songs, you forget a lot of it exists. Id prefer an itunes carousel approach. Or at least a least played/most played/newly added sort options.

New sort options for RB2 (to be enabled or disabled in the options so you don't have to switch through sorting options you don't care for).

Sort by release week
Sort by play count
Sort by favourites (after giving you an option to heart a song after playing it)
Sort by length

I would definitely prefer more options like "Random Metal" or "Random 80's", etc. However, I know 90+% of the songs by heart. So if I think of a song, I can immediately go to that band. Or someone at RBClub can ask if a song is in the game or not and I can tell them off the top of my head.

</nerd>

Enabling and disabling sorting options? You really want this game to be Smash Bros., don't you?

Well I can see the valid argument that if you add too much you risk cluttering things. Personally, I never want to sort by genre. It's fairly meaningless to me. I'd rather be able to sort by release, but for most people that would be less useful.

GH5 suffers from this. I never want to sort by vocals difficulty, and very rarely do I want to sort by bass or drum difficulty. If anything that sort of things should be dynamic in GH5's case.

Sorting categories has never been an issue for RB2 since it's an instant reshuffling as soon as you tap select/back. I mean, maybe they could find a way to add a hold to cycle through sorting option, but there's nothing wrong with the implementation that they have now.

It is weird that GH5 isn't dynamic in that regard, though.

It's hardly a make or break thing, but it could become overly confusing with 8-10 different sorting options to go through. Either way, just give me my sort by release week option.

Actually, sorting is different in Beatles and the music store app, where you can bring up a menu and then choose the sort through there. That removes the issue completely.

Oh yeah, I forgot that they had already implemented that in TB:RB.

I've got nothing against additional sorting options at all (I also want release date), but it seems silly to want to disable some of them when there's no loading or pause to sit through while it reshuffles.
