I didn't enjoy the theatrical ones as much, so take that for what you will. But the flicks are amazing none the less.

Even though I have the extended cuts of LotR but not seen them, I liked the theatrical cuts of Fellowship and Two Towers.

TTT-Extended (chopping Faramir's characterization hurt the Theatrical so much)
ROTK-Imaginary mix of Theatrical and Extended that didn't lose Saruman's death and the Mouth of Sauron but wasn't 4 hours long

Don't worry, they weren't really spoilers.

Personally, I much preferred the extended versions of all three. A lot of people rip on ROTK because it has a VERY protracted ending (another spoiler?) but if you consider all three titles to make up a single story (which they do) then the ending length is fitting.

LotR also has one of the greatest scores of all time, really up there with the likes of Once Upon a Time in the West and Lawrence of Arabia.

It gets averaged. The bad part is it's sorted by a scale (5.0, 4.9-4.0, etc.), it does it by each tenth of a point.
