I've thrown 3 legendary parties in my 26 years on this earth. The one that ended with 20 people screaming along to Notorious BIG's "Juicy" at 3 in the morning on a three lane slip 'n slide in my backyard was my personal favorite. But I've had parties that sucked as well. It's all about who's there and how you keep everyone entertained. Halloween parties tend to work out the best.

The producers of ABC's hit drama have shot so much crucial material for the show's hugely anticipated finale that the network has agreed to extend the last episode by an extra half hour.

When the "Lost" finale airs on Sunday, May 23rd, the episode will run from 9 to 11:30 p.m.

Canada better air that shit early :lol this week has been a joke so far (lol scene).

a few things:

1) The new No Doubt songs are a blast to play, really fun drum and bass parts...

2) Played Swing for the first time today...REALLY wasn't expecting that solo in a country tune...pretty awesome guitar part, through the whole thing, actually
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq2_zqfQ1V0#t=2m08s

3) Water*, Coke (real), Juice, Milk
*my heritage is Czech, so 'water' also includes beer

oh, and beer is as much an 'acquired taste' as tomatoes are...meaning, it's not one...it's just a food that is too strong or too complex for most juvenile taste buds. Oh, and American macro brews are shit...luckily, we have fantastic microbrews...and I live in one of the best beer cities in the country.

Beer tastes terrible
You are drinking the wrong beer then, or not enough of it. :D

Nothing beats coming home from a shitty day at the office, or working outside on the weekend and having a nice cold beer.

It's still doable without a programmed controller

also, October you try out the UFC 2010 demo? Feels so much better than last year + my boy Lyoto is in it
Machida was in last year too, or you mean the demo? I thought it was much improved but it still got boring pretty quickly. I had 3 friends over and played it for about 45 minutes. Were all into MMA too, so I probably will just keep the demo and never buy the full product.

It doesn't have Bas Rutten though, EA's MMA does therefore MMA is the superior game. Dangada dangada dang.

I'm not sure age has everything to do with it but it has an effect, when we were 16 we drank whatever, even if we hated the taste. I started to like beer my senior year. Freshman year of college I was legal though (in canada) and that when I really started to enjoy it. All the good micros are just coming out here, I love spring and the delicious micro brews that come with it. Montana has a lot of microbrews that are really good, much of it is comparable to Sierra nevada, not too many lighter micros in these parts. My favorite non micro beer is Kilkenny, its a great irish cream ale, try it if you ever get the chance.

Fair enough, at least you have tried some good (and bad I assume) IPAs. I can think of 3 people I hang out with on a regular basis that don't like beer, its always skewed like that from my experience too. I guess there aren't many people in this thread that have an affinity for a cold beer.

I've tried to like the stuff, but I'm getting to the point where I don't wanna put in the effort to ever drink it consistently. I'm a liquor man.

I meant he's in the demo, and yea I'll probably do the same and just never buy the game. All I need is Lyoto.

Juvenile taste buds don't always relate to the age of the taster (though usually they do). In general, though, kids don't like strong flavors (Strong mustards, tomatoes, wasabi, beer, wine, etc.) This is usually due to their taste buds lacking 'experience'.
Of course, everyone develops different tastes (I myself don't like tomatoes or mustard, and my friend can't stand onions or pickles) so I understand someone not liking beer...I just blame the parents.

I'll have you know my mom is a beer fiend and has constantly had me try and drink every beer she has purchased. I believe my tastes just don't incorporate beer. I really think you should just blame different tastes for different people. Nature > Nurture bitch.

Lost was good, but I think it made me realise I really don't give a shit about any of the characters anymore. Except Jack, and I'm not sure why. The only reason I'm still watching at this point is to see what is going to happen, and get some more of those "answers." It's just weird that in a character driven drama it's not the characters driving it anymore.

"Of course, everyone develops different tastes...."
The blaming the parents was only the Czech in me talking...after all, it's simply against nature to not like beer.

Someone tell me why I should look forward to Red Dead Redemption.
Because good western games are few and far between, and this looks to be great...

I just read Costanza's thread about lowering the price of $60 games and wow, what an epic burn regarding the poster who mentioned that Costanza bought five indie games for a penny. Ouch. :(

They probably had to pay more than a penny for bandwidth. If you aren't going to play them anyways, why buy them?
