The Zep and Floyd masters are in pretty excellent shape, all things considered. Like the Beatles, those bands had enough foresight to ensure that their music would be able to last for decades to come, thanks to careful archiving. Getting 40+ song games from those two bands won't be a probelm at all.

I meant that those two bands would never turn over that many of their original masters to HMX simply because they coddle them too much. We might get some live tracks out of Floyd, but Zep probably won't cede crap based on the continued put-downs of rhythm gaming by Plant and Page.

Maybe if Plant and Page die and John Paul Jones is the only surviving Zep member left... hmmm.....

Jimmy Page doesn't hate music games anymore (probably saw the Beatles' TB:RB royalties

) and I don't think Plant has ever said anything about them. I'd say a Zeppelin game is possible.

edit: re: dlc, meh. Didn't buy any Dead songs when the first two packs released and I don't really care for the Smithereens. zzz.

Floyd has never been unapproachable to that extent; they just had an episode of one of those crappy CBS procedurals that was full of their music. Hell, they OK'd a cover of On the Run for Cowboy Bebop, of all series.

Can they be used on the UK marketplace, are MS points region free?
No, they're not. The best thing you can do is make a US gamertag and buy things off of that. Content bought with that tag will work on any account on the box it was purchased on.

well, they are repeating bands...

so its time for Iron Maiden pack 2

Heaven Can Wait (Live)
Rime of the Ancient Mariner (Live)
Transylvania
The Evil that Men Do (Live)
Brave New World (Live)
Phantom of the Opera (Live)
Wrathchild (Live)
Flight of Icarus
Children of the Damned (Live)

HMX you can take your time for these, please wait when I come back...so it would be in E3 time...just like last year.

Thanks

Aww, you done got my hopes up again. If they ever did announce a Led:RB, I would go probably run over to my roommate and high-five him into submission. Seriously, it would kind of look like this

I think that both a potential Zep and Floyd Rock Band would be a really good way of getting some of their best live performances out in the public, but I'm not expecting them to go out of their way and giving us, for example, the SRTS version of Dazed and Confused or a full runthrough of DSOTM with the extended parts in Money and Any Colour You Like.

It's nice to want things, though.

Rime of the Ancient Mariner (Live)
22 Acacia Avenue.
Innocent Exile.
The Evil that Men Do (they should finish the album)
The Wicker Man.
Dance of Death.
Phantom of the Opera.
Wrathchild.
Flight of Icarus (Live)
Children of the Damned.

Fixed a bit :) , don't know why you want the studio version of Flight of Icarus, it lacks the power of the live one.

Flight of the Bumblebee (Rimsky-Korsakov) by Paul Henry Smith & The Fauxharmonic Orchestra
Full Song | Trial Song | 80 Points

Happy to be getting more Grateful Dead. Though if there was a band on RB that should have been getting live tracks it would be Grateful Dead. Oh well. Hopefully we'll get some more live Phish tracks sometime. They had to get more than just Wilson.

Me, too. Never going to happen.
I hope some day Activision gets desperate enough and releases an M rated quasi-sequel to GH: Metallica. Obviously without that band being in the forefront this time...

They kept playing Heaven Can Wait from 86 'til 98, That's 11 years too much and songs like Caught Somewhere in Time and Wasted Years got ditched live for that song.

When they did the poll for the Ed Hunter album, Steve Harris said that he was really surprised the song got so few votes, that's when they stopped playing it.

I wrote "Ignore the survey submitted by Archie."
:lol

btw I wrote Iron Maiden in =)

Heaven Can Wait would be fantastic at a party...has a very cool solo...and it is very nice on vocals. And excellent on drums as everything Nicko produces. Add the ooOOhh...ooohhh....OOoooOOhh part and you have the perfect Maiden song for Rock Band. (Aside Aces High, Hallowed and Fear of the Dark)

I can agree with "The Wickerman". I love how Rock in Rio starts with this.

Thanks, I'll have to think about it then.

HMX put up a survey for their next possible band-centric project.

Included are:

The Eagles
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Queen
U2

..And a spot for write-ins.

Vote here

You know damn well that time frame doesn't count from '93 to '98.

I bet the reason Wasted Years was put on the backburner was because it was almost 100% Adrain's.

I absolutely suck at drums! Anything faster than constant quarter notes and I screw up. You can throw in little rolls or weird patterns every now and then, and I can hit them. I just can't keep up with constant notes that are fast (at least for me).

I think I'm going to add drums in to my daily routine though and hopefully get better with some practice. An hour a day 5 days a week should be helpful.

Signs you're a little crazy with Microsoft Points..

I jumped on the Amazon sale yesterday, and asked my wife if she needed anything from there (a book or movie or something). She couldn't think of anything, but asked what I was ordering. Here's the conversation.

Her: What are you ordering?
Me: Microsoft Points.
Her: How many?
Me: 2.
Her: 200?
Me: 2.
Her: 200,000?
Me: No, 2 cards. 3200 points.
Her: Oh, okay.

Even though it was Blaze on vox, it was still Iron Maiden

Maybe. but they kept playing 2 Minutes to Midnight even after Bruce and Adrian left, and also that doesn't explain Caught Somewhere in Time.

There are more than a few bands that I would enjoy playing their entire catalog. I'd just as soon have that stuff as DLC though. But as long as these band games fully export to the main platform, I'm okay with them.

Beatles are obviously the exception, but I still think they'll export into RB3.
