Wasn't the whole point of the show to figure out the mysteries? You can't turn around and say 'wizard did it' without looking like a hypocrite.

The defining moments of the show have almost always been character based.

Seriously, I want you to actually get to episode 4 of the first season and then hate on Lost.

I got up to season 2 and thought it was awful. Don't waste your time Archie.

Hey Archie don't listen to Sgt. Peppers. I got up to Fixing a Hole and thought it was awful.
Comparing a mediocre TV show with a large budget to Sgt Peppers... lol

but you said Spongebob is the greatest cartoon of all time so I know you're dumb. Case solved.

Looks like DriveShaft will be out soon. The Marketplace page is up, but song is not available yet..

You All Everybody

The messed-up part of it is that it doesn't look like it went through any stages of RBN testing. I mean, if they're not gonna go through RBN like any other song, why not just make them "official" DLC?

Also, I dug through some recent threads and someone who actually has released songs got themselves banned, which is also kinda crazy. Wonder what happened.

Fell behind again.

I can't wait for the superior PC versions of those games.

Alan Wake on PC won't happen. MS finally figured out in the last couple years that doing PC ports was dumb. In exchange for shitty sales of the PC version, they get to give people less reasons to buy 360s. Lose-lose, or this being the internets... fail-fail.

GH2 360 had a couple non-covers, didn't it? Besides bonus bands, of course.
Possum Kingdom and Dead!

Never forget this. Not only will it save you a lot of trouble and heartache later, but it will give you a much better opinion of yourself. I'm not claiming to the be a genius or anything...but dear lord I look up things when I don't know them. Most people just bumble around like non-ironic Mr. Beans.
Required viewing about this very subject...

It's good to know your teaching actually did get someone ahead in life. You can lead a horse to water, but not all of them will want to drink.
OTOH, aren't the working conditions at Angel Studios...er, Rockstar San Diego... notoriously awful?

Real talk: Sounds better than the Judas Priest stuff we just got.

Considering how many episodes of Lost there are, the standard is incredibly high. I mean, The Wire has 60 episodes. Six Feet Under has 63. Lost has over 120 episodes.

It is impossible for comedy to be the best of any medium.

What kind of goth/hipster bullshit is this? Usually good comedies are better because they have to be clever. Good dramas just try and pull on your emotions. Making someone laugh is a lot harder than making them cry. Just ask Adam Sandler.

History agrees with me. Nobody is picking a parody album as the greatest album of all time, a comedy movie as a landmark release or a TV sitcom as the greatest show of all time (besides fucking CSB).

You have to have two different categories, comedies and dramas are too different.

Well, yeah. I mean, I'm not saying comedy is bad or anything. But when you're rating art, I think it's difficult to go with comedy as a peek.

I tend to agree. I feel like a truly great comedy is hard to come by, though.

I rest my case.

The only problem I have with people saying Lost is the best show ever is that the only real test that matters is the test of time. It just ended and it's still fresh in your head and it's all you're thinking about so it's very easy to for other things to get forgotten. Staying relevant and recommended after a decent chunk of time has gone by and people can evaluate from a distance without a geekgasm bias is a huge task. Taking a step back from something and then still appreciating it as much as you used to is very hard to accomplish. The test of time is really the one that determines best show ever.

Also when you people say best show ever are you actually saying "my favorite show ever"? Because there have been countless shows before you were born that you may not have seen or even resonate with you currently that changed television but never get brought up in these arguments. Mash's finale had more people watch it than anything in the history of television (until the most recent super bowl) so I'm sure a ton of those people could make a far stronger case that that show is superior to your favorite show.

That's what I automatically assume whenever anyone uses "the best ever."

Well that's unfair. You can't just throw that line out there like that. My favorite movie is definitely not what I think the best movie ever is. There's a difference. And I understand that both represent a fine line that can't be accurately measured but still.
