I feel like when you think about what your questions are regarding the show, you'd be surprised how many of them are either a) boring or b) actually explained in a subtle way. The only real question marks I have are over Jacob's Cabin, WALLLLTTT, and...well, that's about it.
I will admit there are a lot of questions I got answers to after thing about for a while. As for boring, well that's up to me to decide. Especially stuff like
underwater The Island
from the first episode of the season. That wasn't necessary at all in any form, other than to through out a question with no answer to.

Despite my issues, I'd still say the ending was very good and solid. 3/5.

Lost was fantastic, but
what the hell was the whole "you all created this place" nonsense, the sideways was supposed to be a heaven of sorts right? so its only their heaven? it makes sense because most of them had a more ideal life. but i really didnt like the way that was handled. either way it felt good letting go of the story as opposed to wanting more. I also thought it was strange that they didn't go into more detail about what exactly jacob/hurley/jack were, I assume they were gods, but what ability did they have to shape mankind? I guess answering that would only raise more questions.

Actually, the flash sideways were limbo/purgatory. They created it just so they can meet up and go to heaven together.

The underwater island was a red herring, nothing more.

Not sure I like the flashsideways = purgatory answer, but whatever.
I don't like that at all.

Id stray from any tv related websites, there's going to be a fuckton of reviews and a lot more backlash from those reviews. The la times reviewer didn't even get the ending but wrote it as she was completely confident she had :lol its worth checking out after you have watched for the lulz.

@jgr
clearly they wer moving on to another form of existence, but it was definitely heaven for many of the characters (if it were too idealistic people would have caught on i think)

To be on the safe side, don't highlight any spoilers regardless of the thread.

Like this one here:
This is not a spoiler.

Don't know what it could be. Is it a Lost spoiler? Is it sarcasam? Is it a pony?

:lol I'll be sure to check it out.

I'm on a media blackout right now. I even turned off my Twitter app, this thread is the only thing I'm reading on the internet.

Edit: Screw you JGR! I can't even quote you cause I will see what the spoiler is :|

The sideways being what it is is MUCH more satisfying than it being an alternate timeline, as we were led to believe. Alternate timelines are dumb, and I've always taken issue with the sideways this year because it felt like fanservice that couldn't go anywhere. But by making it what it is, it has a natural conclusion that makes sense.

Not unless you're one of the "explain why birds fly in to walls around Walt" kinda people.
No, the questions that the writers decided to ignore are a hell of a lot bigger than that. The finale did a great job of wrapping up season six, but really did nothing to bring much meaning to so much of what went on in seasons 1-5.

Of course, most of the problems with the little questions (like Walt being an unexplored wunderkind) came up because the writers had no clue what they were doing and so were just throwing everything at the wall to see what would stick (much like they did with the cast of characters.)

I feel like enough stuff has been explained. The Cabin and maybe a more literal explanation of how the "rules" work is really the only things I can think of that bug me.

Walt ain't special. He's unusual, in a somewhat similar way to Desmond. Maybe there's no climax but I don't feel like there's a huge question over his head.

Lost finale was a great season finale, and a shit series finale.
Really? I can't really think of a more satisfying way to wrap up the series. If you had got what you wanted we'd have had a really unsatisfying ending that just felt shoehorned in with nonsensical answers for bits and pieces of the now left behind mysteries. I don't really see how they possibly could have formulated an episode around answering all the left behind mysteries and have it make any sense:lol

Isn't it assumed at this point that
Walt got cut out of the show as he grew too fast? They went to the length of not even letting him show up in any form in the finale, not even the slightest cameo which I read was because of his aging being less than ideal for the 'time period' the show took place in.

Loved the finale, as some of you my eyes watered a bit, good explanation for the alt reality. Even some questions are left unanswered the circle seems complete. Thanks Mr Abrams

lol at the LOST apologism. I agree with Amusix, the ending made sense based on the (stupid) direction they went in the sixth season, but the show is so different from when it was good. I liked the show when it was science/supertechnology where everything had a legitimate answer. Then they turned it into a character wank-a-thon to stretch it out and then finally instead of answers we get
pseudo-religious "magic" bullshit.

Nothing on the island had anything to do with religion though.

I dunno; it does seem a little silly that for all the anti-religious attitudes that some of you exhibit that you would in turn praise the series going in a direction that's in opposition to that. It doesn't seem consistent.

but you see it's so deep i can expl *head explodes*

Honestly, I have absolutely no problem with people seeking spiritual answers for life's problems, even if I don't believe in any of that, but I just don't see why the direction Lost took is OK but everything else is RELIGION :lol

Well I think I had a fun Rock Band party Saturday night but I don't really remember. Somehow at least ten people showed up at my house after a wedding and we played a lot. That is extra strange since I'm only friends with like three people in this town.

I blacked out about an hour into the thing, but I remember playing one-eyed and getting like 20% on the drums because I couldn't do two things at once. :lol

Being opposed to idiots that are manipulated isn't the same as being morally opposed to the idea of an afterlife

What is the afterlife if not the carrot at the end of the stick for religious types, though?

Sounds like you aren't that dedicated to the cause after all!

I don't have a problem with people who are spiritual.

I mean the thing with Lost is, I usually hate happy endings, but I couldn't help but just be so moved by it, and I don't care if I have to hand in my penis :(

Two weeks until GD:RB comes out. I'm getting hyped! :D
This week is too overwhelming. I have SMG2 and four blurays coming from amazon tomorrow and I've barely scratched the surface of RDR (even though I've played like 20 hours).

What blu rays? I've been way behind on movie releases.

If I own seasons 3,4, and 5 of lost on blu ray, should I wait and buy the series in august for 50 bucks more and sell the old ones? Or should I just buy seperates. I'm having a tough time deciding.

City of the Living Dead
Class of Nuke 'Em High
Tromeo and Juliet
Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog

I'm completely behind on movies too. I've had the same batch from Netflix for a month probably (Dune and Phenomena).

I still have Lost in Translation sitting here from Netflix; it's been about 3 weeks since I got it. :/

I guess I'm the only one here that turns around like 3 movies a week from NetFlix. I make sure to send my shit back on Saturdays so that I can get the new releases on Tuesday, and then watch them right away and try to get another batch in during the latter half of the week.

I was consistent for about 2 months, always would finish the movie within 4-5 days, then ship it off for a new one. For some reason I just don't currently have the motivation to sit through an entire movie.

I'm usually super-anal about it, but I just haven't been in a movie watching mood in a long time. Too many video games...

I have only watched 2-3 movies this month. Karate Kid, The Road, and maybe Descent 2.

Just watched 44 Inch Chest last night, with awesome dialogue from John Hurt!

Fucked his wife. Fucked his fucking wife. You fucking wife-fucker, you. You fucked his fucking wife, you wife-fucking cunt. Another man's wife. Are you stupid, are you fucking thick, you cunt? Fuck another man's wife? You don't do that. It ends in this. This. This is where it ends. You listening, you hearing me? Shitter? Little shitter?

Gotta love the British.

I'll be getting The Road tomorrow. I hope it's decent.

I've had the same movie for 3 months, its the pixies doc. I don't care to worry about turn around time and what not. If I want to see a movie badly enough red box is across the street and you can preorder. I don't think I've ever actually used netflix as a rental service persay.
